Guess I just can’t drive manual for shit. I was asking around what was causing that shifting issue and it could be a bent shift fork, normal on old trucks. Glad you made it home safe.

    The gas gauge actually worked?

I think it was close to 13. I was in a Costco so I sorta just rushed through.

Oh the Costco right by my place? That’s the weirdest thing, there was at least 5+ gallons in there. Dumped my whole Jerry can.

Yes, the Costco right by you. There probably was 5 gallons. I'm not really sure what the total gal reading was. Just wanted to get on the road and didn't think the gauge was going to work.

Cool, one less thing to worry about. Take care of it, hope you guys give it a better home than I did.

I’m surprised you didn’t have any problem with the shifting like I experienced, it would lock me out of every gear - or it would lock me out of only first. Probably just needs a new clutch and shift fork.

Sometimes you have to double clutch the older trucks if they lock you out.

I have been driving stick for longer than @BartMaster1234 has been alive. It actually shifts better than my truck.

I probably just don’t know Jack about driving manual. My friend drove it a lil too yesterday and had the same issue, but he has about the same manual experience as me.

My 92 will sometimes get out of sync or something and prevent you from downshifting or going into 1st. Just gotta pop it in neutral and work the clutch pedal a time or two. In my experience Toyotas dont like going into 1st unless its at a dead stop. All 3 of the trucks in my driveway do it.

When I topped off the tank in Auburn the truck died at the pump when I went to startup to leave. Just a loose ground battery cable though. :bananadead:
