Even the regular cab 4x4s came with the 18 gallon tank. At least the two I parted out did. I'm pretty sure only 5lugs came with the 15.5 tank. The only difference in the 2 is the depth of the tank.

Paid $2.15 when I was in Louisiana last week. Gets real cheap the closer to Texas you are. About $2.45 or so here in NC.

I only wish it was 18.43 gallons when I was filling the Jerry cans too! hahahaha Try to max out the safeway/albertsons rewards when those need to get filled!

Yeah, that was in Beatty, NV back in January 2018. Would love that price these days!

    how to dislike? ;)

So, funny story. Was just in Stehekin WA - essentially, a place you have to take a boat to get to, but is not an island. Gas there was $4.96. Still less than Yellowpine, ID (above), which is (but isn't) all that far from anything really.

My best was 1/2 block away from the gas station at the light and ran out of gas.
Did the walk of shame with a tank can. haha.
No light for me on my truck.
Usually I get around 300 miles per tank with 16 gallons

Made some progress today. Only had to cut two bolts to get it off. It had to come off for multiple projects like frame repair, bed repair , and a pesky small evap leak that keeps causing a check engine light. Which I think are from one if not many of the cracked rubber hoses lol. I know the rear window is small but without the bed it seems super small.

Just curious I have a spray in bed liner.
How are those bed bolts attached?
Do they come through the top of the bed? To get them off?
Or are there brackets attached to the bed that holds everything in place

It's all from the bottom. The two most rear ones are nuts and the other four are bolts. The front and middle on the drivers side is what I had to cut.

So I should keep it on there? I was going to scrape it off beat the rust off paint it and then fluid film.

I combed my frame with a flash light really well, and just sanded/painted only the spots that had rust. You can see it under the crc real good with a good light. After giving the painted spots a few days to cure, I fluid filmed over everything. The CRC will soak it up like a sponge and turn into a greasy substance again. Real nasty, but it will prevent rust.

Scraping it off looked like a huge pain.
