No worries. It was pretty awesome. 3200 miles, NM-CO-UT-WY-MT-ID and back home. 2 days in Teton and 2 in Yellowstone.

I have a busy couple weeks ahead of me, but maybe we should chat about it sometime and get something going.

Anybody up for some technical mudding.
Highway 76 to Truchas and go straight on FR 639 instead of turning left in town. To much for this stock TRD.

I say no thanks. After having to buy all new shocks on my quad from blowing the seals, I don't look for it anymore.

I was at the Speedway on the SE corner of 550 and Main Street in Aztec early Saturday morning and met a guy who was driving a Mustang, but also owns a Taco. He and I were talking for a few, but I was in such a rush to get out of there I didn't get his name.

He did seem very interested in my truck and was asking me questions. Not sure who you are, but sorry I didn't seem interested in talking. I was trying to get to the trailhead to Engineer Mountain and meet some friends to hike.

Let me know who you are for future reference! Thanks! Maybe we can meet up sometime in the near future!

My NM license plate is 007TACO.

Hi everyone, guess I’ll introduce myself! I just picked up my 19 TRD on Monday after looking around for months. I came from a Fiesta ST which was an extremely fun build but now I’m in all new territory with this. Excited to meet some folks here and find some trails.

Howdy! I’m from Dallas and will be visiting my sister in Albuquerque for Thanksgiving. I’ve got a day or so to do some exploring or hiking and was thinking Carson National Forest or I see you guys mentioning Santa Fe NF? I’m new to this type of stuff, so any help finding some fun fire roads, moderate trails, or hiking trails would be most appreciated!

It’ll just be me, my wife, and the pups, so limited recovery situations are key ;)

Depends on how long of a day trip you feel like going on but here are some things you can do:

    Sandias/Cibola NF
    - Cedro Peak: An easy to moderate wheeling trail it's about 8 miles long or so and takes about 2 hours if you take your time.
    - NM 165: Cool dirt road that takes you from the Sandia Crest Hwy down into the Town of Placitas, on your way you can stop at the Sandia Man Cave it's a cool little cave.
    - South Crest Trail: Drive up to Sandia Peak and take a trail along the Aerial Tram it's a nice little walk about 3 miles
    - 10k Trail: A nice hike on the backside of the mountain through the trees it's about 5.5 miles so 10k haha
    - La Luz Trail: Its always a nice one but can be pretty strenuous is you're not used to the elevation about 7 miles and usually a day hike. It's nice to hike up then take the Tram down or do it the opposite way.
    - Piedra Lisa Trail: Nice moderate trail if you head up to Fletcher Trail about 4 miles its a nice morning hike. You can follow Predia Lisa all the way but it's pretty long and gets a little rough at times but still a great hike about a 12-mile loop.

    Santa Fe NF:
    - Gilman Tunnels: Along FS376 off the main Highway into Jemez Springs there is a nice route that takes you through some small tunnels in the Guadalupe Box. Keep following 376 about 20 miles north you'll connect with HWY 126, cross that HWY and follow a few more miles and you'll hit a really nice hot spring but it can be kinda busy.
    - Fenton Lake: is a nice lake but VERY small and has some fishing.
    - If you have a whole day I can tell you where some waterfalls are at near the San Pedro Peaks Wilderness
    - Take a drive to see Tea Kettle Rock along FS 103 this will take you from HWY 126 north to HWY 96 it's a really mellow drive but pretty.
    - There is some easy to moderate wheeling in the area along FS117, FS93, FS461, and some other spots too if youre interested I can give you more suggestions.

    Carson NF:
    - I don't have much for a day trip as its kinda far from Albuquerque.

Sorry for all the text but that's just a bit of info if you're interested in something specific feel free to PM and I can try to help out. Also depending on when youre in town we can also try to get a small group together and go for a run if that interests you.

Forest road 376 is closed just passed the Gilman tunnels due to road erosion.
Bit of trivia, tunnels were in the movie "310 to Yuma" starring Russell Crowe.

Looking for recommendations where to get gears done in ABQ.

I've called around, but most shops don't want to mess with it.
