I agree that it probably is a good idea to follow best practices. Just thought I’d ask since I’ve seen others on here do the same mod, either to clear their spare tire or for clearance purposes. Personally I don’t need the extra clearance, but I am going to be adding a full size spare eventually. @THE_KiRRAx pointed out something that should be given serious consideration by anyone considering this type of mod - there are two huge vents at the back of the cab! I think I will go with modifying the spare tire apparatus to give me the necessary clearance!

It only rubbed on one occasion when I was backing in to a tight spot. I’ve made a few U-turns and other tights turn in general without rubbing.

Looks great, I debadged and de-stickered mine yesterday. Was gunna snap a pic but figured I'd wait until I figure out my AVS in-channels and stuff to grab a pick. Tell you what, wish I wore gloves when removing adhesive on badges. Got 2 gnarly blisters on my thumbs.

I used a gift card to cut off the badges and scrape off the adhesive, then soaked it with goo gone and waited about 10 mins, then wiped it off and hit it with my orbital. It was a lot easier and faster than I expected.

That sucks about the thumbs. Crummy place for blisters.

285/75/16 on the stock wheels, fit great, an inch+ of clearance at full lock on the fenders. I thought it was going to be alot closer to rubbing.

Only a little rubbing full lock in reverse, on the wheel well liner but a blow dryer/heat gun will fix that real quick. Alignment up next since in a couple hours. Toe and camber at 0 and as much caster as they can get.
