I hope your move was better than ours. we had to have an empty house on sale day, but couldn't put stuff in the new house yet b/c they had to have the new house empty also. Rented a storage unit and a big U-Haul. If I'm available I'll come help out.

MUGGY WEATHER RETURNS: Hot August weather continues across Alabama today, and humidity levels will be higher as moisture levels increase. We note a few isolated showers on radar early this morning over parts of West Alabama, and we will mention widely scattered showers and thunderstorms this afternoon and early tonight, during the peak of the daytime heating process. Otherwise today will be partly sunny with a high in the mid 90s for most communities.

We note the NWS has issued a “heat advisory” for parts of Central and Northwest Alabama today due to the higher humidity values expected.

REST OF THE WEEK: We look for an increase in the number of scattered showers and storms, especially Wednesday through Friday, as the upper ridge weakens, the air becomes more unstable, and moisture levels continue to rise. Odds of any one spot getting wet tomorrow are 30/40 percent, then rising to 50/60 percent over the latter half of the week. Heat levels will also drop with highs in the low 90s tomorrow, and then between 86 and 91 Wednesday through Friday.

 

Ew that sucks! Luckily, the new house is empty and they are letting us take ownership the weekend before the 12th, since thats a Thursday so hopefully we can get alot moved during the week and just move the rest or bigger items the day of close.

I'm fine with Fall too, I just want the highs to be 70s and lower.

 

Man that's awesome. I'm free the weekend before (for now) if you need the help. I'd move everything but the bed, fridge, and pack a suitcase for the week (think hotel living).

 

Yea that's what we have kinda decided to just move literally everything we possibly can and maybe even move the bed and leave the mattress and just a few clothes and necessities.

 

Yesssssssss! To be fair I think there have been more Winter days we've ridden than Fall the last few years. Those 65F Winter days with no humidity are perfect.

 

I just want my dadgum AC to quit running lol I could set the temp to 90 in the house and the AC would still have to run. F that.

Belly of the beast

Took a solo trip with the pup up Bingham Mtn yesterday to the top. Never gone past the power lines though. Might need to do some more exploring up there. Someone told me there’s a waterfall somewhere passed the power lines.

Also got a little trail rash from a tree on a tight squeeze. But the bumper did what it was supposed to

 

it's getting hard being bored at work. being in a role that hasn't really existed, and that nobody is really training for is making things difficult.

 

@stronghammer and whoever else has ordered gears, did yall get the solid spacer for your diffs when you ordered from ECGS? Also, is ordering the gear oil with it, worth it?

And on the front is it worth getting the new CV bushing?

 

I have no recollection of a solid spacers, I got my own gear oil from auto parts stores, and I replaced the CV bushings back when I replaced the CVs.

 

So the CV bushing would be worth it at least then. I still haven't needed to, but for and extra 45 bucks, seems reasonable.

 

I've slept and had more important things happen since then and I honestly don't remember. Jeff or Brian would be one of the guys to ask, they don't forget like anything.

 

@JBTacoma @TacoAlaMode same questions I had for Scotty. What do ya'll think about solid spacers when getting gears from ECGS? Same with the CV bushing, worth having that done when ordering re-geared diffs?
