New here I had a Tacoma dc back in 01. Had it for 10 years and traded it in after having twins bc couldn't fit 3 across w 2 baby seats....anyway I'm thinking about getting a 2019 tacoma sport. I test drove one and it rides good for a truck.i have a price of 35980 for sport dc , tech package, all weather mats, sill protectors, and steps. Sticker is 39800....is this a good price. Also is there a major difference in ride quality between the off road and sport. I commute 45 miles round trip a day. I live in NY and the bumpy taconic parkway

    Offroad is slightly softer.

Please don’t get a auto and complain.... if you even have any thought of a manual drive one.... they are a much nicer driving experience imho....I don’t mean 2 miles either I had the luxury of driving both for 2 days a piece while my old Tacoma was in the shop for frame replacement....

I have a ‘17 OR and my dad has a ‘19 Sport. I have driven both and there is definitely a difference in ride, I would ‘t say major, but my OR has a softer ride than his sport. If your driving a bumpy road daily I’d test drive an OR as you may prefer its ride.

I got an OR more for the assumption of a softer on-road ride than it's capability off-road, but I'm not sure if it makes much difference.

I sold my 1997 after 313K miles on the odo. Great little truck, I wish the 2016 Taco replacement was smaller, but 20 twenty years of improvements - brakes, interior, soundproofing shows...very happy with it.

Your not going to learn much here. Other than opinions. I would go climb in seat and see for yourself. Autos are a little different, But I like 23-25 mpg out on highway. Anyway good luck with your purchase. Do your research.

Sounds like a good price to me. I assume that’s before tax, title and license?

I thought the OR was softer, but I also wanted the rear locker.
I'd suggest asking if you can take home over night or for the weekend. I like the auto, and understood what I was buying, but many can't handle the way it's programmed for mpg and definitely needs large amounts of throttle input to get a down shift, and in to the 3.5's upper end power.

Thanks for advice..... I test drive the TRD OR too and borrow it for the day...Price was before tax, tags but included 1750 in rebates.

I have had three TRD Sports and really liked them. Will most likely trade my 2018 for a 2020 but I am nearing 70 years old and am really considering a Limited. Can anyone in the know compare the ride quality of the Limited vs the Sport? Thanks.

I think the Limited is very similar to the Sport

Just FYI, and YMMV in your area and dealer, but I just picked up a 2019 TRD OR with Tech and Premium Packages nothing else, not even floor mats. MSRP 41,107 sold for 34.600 before tax in Denver.

drive them both, the actual trucks you are looking at and decide for yourself. I just sold an '18 DCLB offroad and bought a '19 DCSB sport, I think the Sport rides softer, even though it has a shorter WB and I had 5100s on my DCLB. Drive both and see. Also, our dealer gave us $5500 off MSRP, that was $4500 off and then a $1000 rebate. Best of luck in your search!

Thanks for the advice....they have a TRD sport DC/sb coming in the sticker is 42200.....tech and premium and bed cover...before negotiating its down to 37387 plus taxes and tags.....was told its priced it was 500 below invoice with 1750 in rebates.
Also has anyone ordered from real truck...looked at reviews and they don't look good....

Agreed. To each their own, but huge fan of my Taco with a manual transmission.

So I assume they are adding all kinds of expensive crap onto the vehicle, because I don't think a TRD Sport's MSRP should be over $42k, that's insane.

Not sure where OP is located out of, but they do that a lot out here. Add in tube steps, TRD Skid, bed cover, roof rack, tailgate inserts, exhaust tips, PPF, etc. and then charge it like crazy. Out here premium OR and Sports go for what Pro MSRP would be and Pro go for 51-55K maybe 47K if you're "lucky" either that or some of them have dealer lifts on them with crazy mark ups.
