True, but I know exactly what to expect with that, not 'maybe this time it will downshift with 1/2 throttle or I'll have to wait and see if I need to mash the pedal instead'.

Her car more than makes up for it with gas mileage though so I'll happily drive it on most longer trips unless we're doing something specific with the truck.

I went fishing yesterday for the first time in several years...only catch was a tiny little trout that couldn't have been more than 7 inches long lol.

Supposedly the lake had catfish and carp in it too, but no such luck there.

Any of you guys ever hear a sucking sound when your AC is running? Seems like it’s coming from behind the glove box. Every 30 seconds or so when the AC is turned on I hear something like a sucking/sealing sound. Never noticed it before.

Useless fact, Jeremy Clarkson had an 80 series until 2013 that he daily drove in the countryside before moving to downtown London

Yup. I've always thought it sounded like someone with emphysema or Darth Vader but a sucking sound also describes it. Mines done it since I got the truck. AC has always worked great until it hits about 90-95˚ out, then it's worthless

Oh and the sucking sound usually goes away if I turn the AC up to the highest or 2nd to highest fan setting, or at least I don't hear it anymore when it's up that high. But on 'low' it's very noticeable

Absolutely normal, you're just hearing the compressor suck down the suction side and the high side pressurize and eventually bleed through the expansion valve
