Ahh yea forgot about the leak!! Depending on how long you think it’d take $50 +$20 hr and their change jar no matter how full or empty! Then extra if you gotta get up in attic or down in crawl this heat to fish the cables!

My BIL has done a ton of work for us that I simply lack the experience or time to do it.

Always pay with a solid steak dinner plus cost of material, if any.

If he asks me to help do something, I don’t ask questions, just go and do it.

I agree with this, I am always down to help out and never have I asked for payments. It's family.

But they actually offered to pay dollars this go round, so hence me wondering about how much someone would pay for something like that.

They know we are in a rough spot right now so I think it's their way of lending a hand. Scratch my back I scratch yours kind of thing.

Call a local company and ask for a quote then subtract dinner and labor warranties!

Any recommendations for a mechanic to work on 2nd Gen brakes in S Charlotte or Rock Hill?
    Time for some preventative maintenance.

    thanks

I've always dealt with Toyota of Rock Hill. The family has bought all their vehicles from them and they know us pretty well. I've gotten work done on my truck there and have been nothing but satisfied with them. Plus, if anything goes wrong you're covered since it'll be their fault.

This is where you want to go:

They did my brakes. Laid back, very reasonable. They know Tacomas, 4Runners and LC’s very well!

    They are in Fort Mill...

I used to have a tire shop like that ^^. Great management and liked dealing with mods and actually enjoyed vehicles. Management changed and I noped out of there quick.

Half the time you get a shop and none of them actually enjoy vehicles as a hobby...
