When anyone gets to it, can you post a photo of the bottom side of the large drivers side terminal block for the power windows. I had two wires pop loose from that one, and want to confirm which is which. Its a light gray and a blue wire which go back to the drivers side door motor.
Also a heads up to be extra careful handling the drivers door panel until you get that evil connector removed which as noted by others is a pain in the ass.
Also if anyone has a link to removing these pins from the connector it would be much appreciated.

I responded to your comment but realized you were talking about the terminal for the switches. If anyone can help, you simply just pull up on the trim around the switches and the whole module pops out.

NOTE: Instead of removing the lead from this switch, I just wedged the whole switch panel between the door trim where it came from since the door is flexible. That way you don't need to pull off the annoying wire lock.

Good thought, and may have to do this to trouble shoot. Page 141 has some good tips for the install as well. Any photos I have found of the terminals have been from the topside, even trying to pause videos has not worked yet.

Not sure what you’re asking. My lights still delay and dim as they go off. No change with the puddles or the map and dome lights. And what does the 3rd brake light have to do with it?
I have the KC5 brake/cargo lights and they had no affect on the interior or puddles.

Hey, sorry. I should have been more detailed in my question:

Part one: I would like to tap into third brake light switch INSTEAD of the power source at the pillar. The reason I would like to do that is so I can have control over my puddles lights in the same fashion that I have control over the third brake light by using the same switch to either have them be off/on/or on when door is open or car is unlocked. I think this can be achieved, but if I'm wrong I definitely don't mind someone telling me so.

Part 2: Because of how the third brake light switch works, it either turns the light on or off but without the dimming feature. I was wondering if the part I linked would do the trick? That way the puddles would still dim on/off.

Disclaimer: I know I'm taking a beautifully designed plug and play option and messing it up, but that's how we keep pushing the envelope, right?

    Clear as mud? lol.

Just wait till he releases the kill switch. Then you'll have it all. Few months out probably

    It's complicated.
By "kill switch" do you mean the on/door/off switch that he's developing?

Also, is the switch that he's designing, going to require the disassembly of the door panels, etc., all over again?

If I had to guess, you’ll only have to remove maybe the A-pillar/airbag cover and/or the drivers side kick panel, and lower left dash panel. Most of the control wiring for the puddles are there.

Yes. Same functionality as the 3rd brake light. On off door. Pull A panel and tie into connection. Then pull lower dash to install switch.
