    I read your other thread.
You said the previous owner was running the bully dog tune and you have the TRD tune.

Is the previous owner just of the supercharger or of the entire truck?

Did you replace the ECU or try and flash the TRD tune OVER the bully dog tune?

Will do. Let me know how the visit goes. I’m going to start beating the bushes in Jersey and along the coast in a few months too. The email thing isn’t working out, I think I’ll get better results standing on a few desks.
Hell, if it comes down to it, Kiel might be the guy. I’ll actually be visiting his island soon.

There used to be lots of talent up in Patterson, NJ where IPT and Level 10 work out of, so I’m going to take a good look up there as well.

Charger on. Cam gears in. Unable to flash or TRD calibration file. So, I I flash the magnuson software, will my ovtune handheld be useless? "Waiting on email from them"
Can the Magnuson tune be over written by the TRD tune at any time?
    P.S. I WANT TO DRIVE HER!!!!:annoyed:

Trd tune cannot overwrite the magnuson bullydog tuner. But ovtune/hptuner should have no problem getting over those. If I were you I would try to get the trd tune.

That was a good route to go. I just wanted to make sure that was the case before those that are more knowledgeable chime in.

I unfortunately don't have any experience with the TRD tune.

I paid for the two day subscription, but I think the cable I got will not work. It came with a boot leg copy of an older techstream.
So, if some is close to bakersfield that can help me, I have beer. Lmao!!!

Ran better than it ever did before having the TRD flash. So smooth with plenty power on 3.0 pulley. Just now 2 code . I'm hoping it'll clear when I reset the battery or maybe tell me what cylinder is misfiring so I can diagnose from there. Could it be crankshaft position sensor? I just washed it and sprayed underneath and in fender wells a bunch to clean road grit

Yikes. I am not sure who may have one up there. Do you know anyone at a toyota dealer near by you could ask them to flash it?

I am pretty sure Mat has posted that he can deal with the bullydog tune somewhere in the 4.0 ecu tuning thread. I am like 99% sure.

I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this question...
Would i be able to start the truck and let it idle? To check fluids and make sure things are ok.

Yes. A friend and I installed our S/Cs a few years ago. Neither of us wanted to use the BD tune. Instead we took our trucks to the local dealer for TRD flash. We had no trouble doing so. (I realize it's a different vehicle, but I did the same thing when I upgraded the intake and pulley on my Shelby and drove it to the tuner. No problem there either.) Just go easy on the throttle and stay out of boost.
