Why tf would someone customize a lease?

Hit one deer or manbun and you'll have some 'splainin' to do to the leasing agent AND your insurer.

In my case, we are talking about a grill and wheels. Nothing more. Bring on that 16pt buck.

I’m really not that worried about it. Seriously.

Never understood why bucks are measured according to font size. Weird that. They should be gauged by how many antler p ... dammit.

Yeah, I lived in Atlanta for awhile. You'd see deer, but they were always tiny, bent over, sickly, looking pathetic, begging for anything that wasn't asphalt or pine needles. No risk there either.

Skip the mods and buy the Tacoma out right. Makes no sense to put money into a car you won't ever end up owning.

I was about to sign a 5 year lease, then I checked how much difference a 6 year loan would be. Went with the 6 year loan!

I asked them to throw in a) Pro Grill, 2) OEM Tri-fold soft top tonneau cover, 3) Tub Mats & 4) Winter tire package (wheel/rims).

And then I beat them up on the final price, walking twice!!!

Thats awesome! It always comes down to negotiating. Easier to negotiate on a purchase than on a lease.

Have leased most of my vehicles. Bought mods and performance stuff for them. End of lease comes around, i put it back to stock, sell my aftermarket parts, get new vehicle, use sold parts money to buy mods for it again. Works for me, doesnt matter what ppl say, i do what i want!

Thank you for all your opinions.
I didn’t mean to bring any confusion. :)

    Just to make myself clear,

I only consider Grille & Wheel swaps.
Easy to restore, don’t affect the vehicle permanently. No performance or lift stuff.

Main reason is because I want to???
3 years might be short for someone but long enough for me to care, so I just want to drive a car that I like every time looking at it.

Also, considering I can keep using wheels and grille for the next taco, it’s not a one time spending. I also can sell as used easily.

Financially, I can buy Taco but I just found a really a good lease deal. Factoring in opportunity cost of my time, this deal makes financial sense to me. (RV and conditions of this deal is decent enough to match a fair value of KBB estimation.)

It might be just me. Also lease can make sense to me personally because I have a small company.

Anyway, the one that I really want (right color and options) got sold yesterday evening, and I just found out today morning. So my quest doesn’t seem to end yet.

Don't be afraid to ask for BOTH to be thrown in, as they will get the value of them when it's retuned anyways! You can negotiate a Lease, it's still a sell to a car salesman!

    DO IT, DO IT!!!!

What about those of us who plan on purchasing our lease? I leased mine as I was able to afford the payments with the plan to purchase it when the lease is up. I've done minor mods but nothing crazy.

    Hey!
I found this at a dealership in my neighborhood (Sunnyvale Toyota). They're selling this tacoma TRD OR cavalry Blue with Fuel Nitro 17X9 and 285/70R17 Falken M/T tires 3"/2" Kings suspension lift, TRD Pro Grille and 30" LED Light bar which dealer is already installed.

The pictures on this link will show stock images, but I will attach in this thread how it looks at the dealership now. You could even talk to this dealership or a dealership at your local and ask them to get this for you(They can consider trading it).

Here I've attached how it looks:

Also, Another good thing I think (I might be wrong) about leasing a tacoma and going a little over miles or having some aftermarket parts is that even if you want to decide to get it inspected at the end and return to the dealership, you could instead just go to any used car folks(ex: carMax/carvana) and they would buy your vehicle and pay the residual (as long as the truck's value then is greater than the residual) and some extra cash for you, and since tacoma holds a lot of value, you could even sell it outside yourself instead of returning it back to the dealership which might even save you some money.

I have a 2018 TRD OR lease and I'm pretty sure my residual will be lower than my truck's value at the end of lease.
