Probably so. Sad day when common sense and true patriotism will get you in trouble.

I know this is not the place blah blah blah...

There were only about 6-7 there vehicles when I headed in. I think I was the only good looking one in the parking lot at the time, if that helps...:rofl::rofl:

So who's running CB radios in their trucks? If you are, what are you running? Sorry if this has already been covered somewhere, I can never find topics on TW...

I am. I run the cobra 75 with a fire stick 5ft antenna. I broke that 3ft one. Forgot to take it off driving in the garage. I also added the speaker to the system. Really happy with it and it has saved me once. Got lost and was able to reconnect with the group. It was a night run. Because of the shell I have the antenna up front off the side of my pods.

So do you detach the antenna when you're not using the CB? Seems like a good way to not have it stolen.

It’s convenient for being clean only drawback is cord bumps the leg when wheeling.

Yes I don’t drive with it unless I am using it.

I don’t remember the name. I got it from the guy that tuned my antenna for me. I couldn’t get it tuned and it was because it was grounding out on the bracket that I am using. Had to make the hole bigger. I can look and tag u.

    I have a Cobra 29 with a 3ft Firestik on a Caliraised mount.

The radio doesn’t make much difference in performance, because they are all 4 watts output. Just choose one that fits where you want it, has the features you want, whatever. I have a huge radio because I bought it for $10 and found a place to mount it.

The antenna is the most important part. Generally the longer the better, but even more important is tuning it. Look into tuning SWR no matter what setup you decide to run

This is how I have my CB in the truck, went to a truck stop and got the hunger. So when I do use It I can just pull down and it’s out of the way and no I don’t drive with that out. Only when I need it, And this is the speaker
