Tires Too Close To UCA?

    If you have a +12 offset wheel I'd be more concerned with rubbing on the UCA at full lock. Not so much at the spindle.

    Total Chaos have more clearance. I run 34" tires and used to have JBAs. The tires rubbed against them at full lock so I switched to Total Chaos and now they don't rub. Something about their design allows more more articulation and more room for turning with larger tires.

    Different designs tc arms are tubular obviously its going to give more clearance, but like why wouldn't you just add a 1/4 inch spacer instead of blowing hundreds on new arms.

    I'm assuming you mean a wheel spacer not a suspension spacer. Thats definitely one option. I opted to swap out my UCAs because I like the look of the tires being tucked in as much as possible and wheel spacers can put more torque on your studs causing catastrophic failure (though it would be exremely hard to do that with only a 1/4" spacer)

    The issue with those 1/4 spacer plates is that they shorten the amount of usable stud length you have for your lug nuts....if you install those make sure you are getting enough turns on the lug nuts or you'll have a bad time driving down the highway someday. A lot of times people have to lengthen the studs to run those 1/4" plate spacers on their wheels

    I would just get a small hub centric wheel spacer like a 1" one that has its own studs built into the design. Plenty of people run those without issue

    What position are your SPC UCA's installed at? It almost looks like they don't match from side to side? It looks like they are around A or B, you could change them to D and it might give more clearance. I run mine at E and with 305/65/17 on 17x8.5 with -10 offset I have a bit more room.

    They're both on the D setting, it's just the front of the truck is one side in the first photo and the other side on the 2nd. At least that's what I make of it

    The ball joint setting won't affect how close the wheel is to the UCA, but its position in the camber slot would. But it looks like it's set up correctly from what I can tell

    You should be fine, that looks like the same amount of clearance I have. Is your truck on a lift or jacked up in the pictures?

    The SPCs are the most adjustable arms you can get. Im no expert on these parts, but I'd imagine that they allow for the best alignment numbers.

    It's the +12 offset that's putting the tires so close. If you start to rub you can adjust the ball joint all the way outwards and have it realigned. The alignment tech will have to adjust the camber at the LCA.
