There was a facelift around 2013 when they quit having the tire on the back and killed the V6 option. Id get an 05-2012 with a V6.

My pile is quickly growing too. Need to start selling on ebay as my listing on here never got any attention.

 

My wife's aunt and uncle have a 2013 Rav4 with ~75k miles that they might sell to us. Trying to talk my wife into it since her 03 Honda has been cursed the last 2 years. Just last week her steering starting howling like a banshee, I replaced the PS fluid but no dice. If that thing needs a steering rack I swear

 

I used to, I’ve had almost 200 transactions as a seller on there. Just got tired of the eBay fees and I stopped a few years ago.

 

I'll try to grab a video/audio clip of mine later, it's definitely louder and more alarming than any normal AC in any other car I've been in. Assuming the other poster is talking about the same thing anyway

 

You might be low on charge, the suction noise will get hardcore as it struggles more to pressurize the high side cause it's pulling the suction side down too far

 

My stuff is mostly the least desired parts out of my base model that Ive swapped for stuff from a trd. Rearview mirror, stupid cupholder thing, middle seatbelt etc. Oh and a rear diff breather kit I dont need.

Also have an XJ fusebox that I may just toss at this point. Was gonna use it as an aux fuse box but it wont fit anywhere in my engine bay.

 

How much you want for that diff breather kit? One of those mods I should have done by now but haven't.

 

Thanks, boys. Wasn’t terribly concerned, just unusual is all. Charged it recently and thought maybe I didn’t add enough. Won’t worry about it if it’s a common noise. Usually have my windows down anyway but got them tinted so needed to keep them up a couple days.

 

$5 plus $8 shipping. Needs a new piece of fuel line and one of the tiny hose clamps (I used a zip tie) but otherwise its all there.

 

Mine's not what I would call common, but I haven't heard yours so I can't compare. Mine definitely needs some kind of work done to it, hopefully it's just a proper recharge like Zane said.

This is leftover from my high school days when I’d go to one of several junkyards whenever they had a Tacoma come in.

 

Most times a taco gets in a junkyard near me its a base model 5 lugger and already in pieces. I pull most of my parts that I flip off 4Runners.
