Really he cannot flash over the bullydog? Makes me want to go back and find his post about him saying he can.

Like others have said, you should be able to drive to the dealer (gently). If you are going up a hill I would down shift to stay out of boost.

    It's DLX son!
If you can send him your ECU he could bench flash it with the TRD cal file for $75 - but I think going over the bullydog via ODBII is a no go.

Yeah, this is accurate. I had $ in hand at the time and was just looking for a opportunity to build an engine. To say they were uninterested was an understatement. I knew they had built a couple of them in the past and they were the natural go-to in this situation. I tried to convey to them that I knew what I was getting into, but they insisted that they just want to sell parts. No builds on this platform.

I have an HPtuner and like beers, but I'm not sure that's going to be too much help for you. The dealers in our areas have loaded the trd tune on multiple trucks. If you sweet talk them, I bet they'd do it for you......

mine does the opposite. at times my aem gauge is right with my meth controller boost gauge. most of the time my meth boost reading is a lb or so higher. after talking to others here I have suspicion my aem gauge is less than accurate.

well. good news. one of the local dealers got back to me. they said they would program the ecu. the service manager did go there all the normal liability risks, twice. so i just got back from dropping it off with them before they changed their minds. lol. tomorrow......extended test drive!!!!!:burnrubber:

I’m not sure if I can write the vin. I no I can but it checks the truck when doing it to make sure it matches. Dunno what it actually checks but it does.

@TRON i forgot. while i was that deep in the engine. i replaced the timing chains and tensioners, water pump, belt and oil pump. it all came out or was right there. so i might as well. so now she should be good for at least another 150k miles.

I flashed over the bullydog with OvTune but I think you need a trd tune of some sort to exist to overwrite (BD is a varient of trd tune).

It may not be possible to go from straight a stock NA tune to OV.
