Trying to hang a porch swing this weekend but I have a unique situation and can't find the studs
    • Beadboard ceiling so the stud finder won't work
    • No attic access
    • Beadboard not easily removed
Any recommendations besides hammering a nail every three inches? I have considered a bracket drilled into the header, also

Use a magnet and find the nails or screws that are holding the beadboard up.

Installing shelves in the office closet, new Skil self leveling laser is very useful for this task (among others).

Edit: got this much done tonight, headed home and will finish it tomorrow.

Floors finally finished and cured so we could walk on them. Yesteday finished the window installation, hung the ceiling fan and framed in the openings to this loft area. It is hard to clean and just collects dust, so we're going to put doors on it and use it for storage. I ran out of time so I tacked up the openings with the old paneling I removed from the walls. Today we finished trim, painted and are ready for furniture delivery on Monday.

I remember reading, often, comments by @OZ-T about GRK screws and decided at the start of the project that I'd try them. The HD didn't have them, but had Spax. Ill not be going back to regular screws again!

I also put up a wide window sill so the kitties can lay there and look out the window.

All but one shelf is in, working on wiring up the outlets and switch, headed to Lowe’s to find a light to put in here as well.

Getting a new shed had to level and dump 5 yards of stone.

That’s my neighbor we have to be 10 feet from property lines for a shed. The pad is larger so I can put a trailer next to it.

I live on technically 0.71 acres according to real estate pages, but my neighbors are so far away and the woods/overgrowth make it about an acre. I want at least an acre on my next house.

oh if I really had it my way I'd have like 100 acres and be a cattle farmer, but the lady doesn't want that lol.

a realistic dream is 3-5 acres, small enough for a good zero turn to mow all the yard I could want, and not so big that I have to own a tractor lol

Not for too much longer. Moving east in October. Bumping up to a 1/4 acre which will feel like 100 after living on a postage stamp the last couple years haha
