Internal combustion is yesterdays technology. If that e-charger ever made it to production I'd be all over that. Until then, a roots is the closest thing to it in power delivery and simplicity.

@OVTune Any updated ETA on Twin turbo kits for purchase? FYI I’m not bothered the time it takes to complete R & D and source the needed parts, just a rough ETA with your current workload. I'd rather wait until your happy with it and get it setup properly.

What @Doomsday said. I don’t have $5,500 burning a hole in my pocket but I will buy a TT kit immediately.

I’m guessing 3-6mo until production kits are ready for the masses and I’m totally OK with that.

As for install, idk about the rest of you, but I’m looking forward to a weekend install of a TT kit, even if it means allll weekend. Not a huge deal.

I agree, I think so, especially with a friend. My point is I don’t really care how long it takes. I want Raptor-like power in a Taco and this will give it to me, so the install time is what it is.

I just need to know more or less the timing of things. Otherwise, just gotta give shop a 2 week notice and $2500 for regear. I'd much rather do the Twin Turbo kit first and feel out the factory gearing with better power down low.

@Captndarty Thanks for the heads up, I figured it still be a necessity.

A roots blower might be simple but the power draw off of them is the Highest of ANY form of forced induction, and E chargers are out, they have them for the Toyota ft86 or whatever they call it.

Considering that I've built my own compounds kit before, this kit from Matt should be cake to install compared to the crap I had to figure out! AC line clearance, hood clearance radiator intercooler clearance, frame for exhaust etc etc etc. I've got good people in Missouri/ IL that if I said I had one of these kits to install, I'd bet money I'd have a army wanting to help just to see what it does!

I was a corner marshall for Pike's peak hill climb before it was paved back in like '93. Just below Devil's Playground. Those fuckers are nuttier than squirrel turds! Big balls and lots of pony's in those rigs. One hell of a good time at 14,000 feet. Best road racers I have ever seen cuz if you fuck up, you dead.

Dude, it was balls to the wall craziness. You could hear the cars before you could see them due to all the corners and then all of a sudden, there they are drifting like a mofo and headed straight for you. Funny thing was that the drunk spectators wanted to hang out on the track to get a better view and I had to corral those fuckers back. The hypersonic flying rocks were the real problem in the corners. People can be stupid. Drunk people can be stupid-er!

@OVTune you got any problems with the fuel pump once you reach 375 whp? Just saw on Facebook, apparently URD gets a bottleneck because of it on their SC kit.

Nope, not sure how they are tuning it. We already went past 375whp. Pretty weird they say they couldn't find any info anywhere of an atkinson cycle engine with boost. The lexis IS200T 8AR engine is a bone stock car that is atkinson cycle + boost, with identical technology.

Anyways glad to see they are making an option. cool stuff can't wait to see the end result! more options are better

That's the same post I think.

Yes I have finally received them.

Nice to see they are seeing huge gains on low boost like we are.

Maybe I missed it... but are these roots style blowers or centrifugal ?
