Get one with a headboard. My personal opinion, but one without a headboard just still looks like a college dorm/bachelor bed

How difficult is it to knock the CV out of the differential side?

Thanks Jeff. I'll be doing the ECGS bearing when it comes time for suspension upgrade. I've watched videos and some made it look easy, but some also had a difficult time hammering that thing out. It makes sense not to remove the CV from the spindle side, just the differential side. When you go to put the CV back in, does it slide right in or do you have to hammer it back in? If the spindle is left on, what are you hammering on to get it back in?

Be careful putting it back in, you can mess up the splines. It should go back in pretty easy, by just tapping not hitting. Make sure the c-clip on the end has the open gap turned down so it is inside the grove made for it as much as possible, the clip is what causes the issues installing it.

it can be the biggest PITA ever.

my recommendation is get a good sled hammer and wrap something, I used a garage door cable, around the hammer and the base of the CV and then swing it and boop, it's out past the snap ring.

I slide it into the diff and use a long crowbar to tap it back it. Place the crowbar in the slot cut in it and tap the other end. You can see the slot circled in red in the picture

All excellent pointers! Looks like it's much more difficult to remove than it is to re-install.

Both can be equally hard and both can be equally easy. These are done at mod meets quite often If you want to collect your parts and wait for a mod meet I'm sure someone would help you

I said "most useless" not that it's downright "useless". Even 1 ply toilet paper has it's use, doesn't mean it's good at it.
