That’s because despite doing tire services all day, some of these discount tires suck at actually putting on tires.

A big issue with the wildpeaks not balancing right is not relaxing the tire after popping the bead. On the 2nd time you air up, the entire tire that’s not fitting right will pop on those are the usually the people that don’t have problems.

You can fit 33” stock on these trucks. If you lift it they will rub. Be careful some wildpeaks are defective and will cause a vibration.

i had a slight vibration at 55 to 60 mph. Loved the the tires but they couldn't do anything about the vibration.
Got Cooper ATP as a direct replacement.

How do they ride? I’m curious because the yellow dot is the almost the exact opposite of where it should be.

I also had vibe issues with these despite being properly balanced, I switched to nittos to solve. The falkens are a great looking tire though.

I just was reading about that. There seems to be 2 mounting options. Red dot is to line up with a indent in the wheel (if it has it) or the yellow dot lined up with the valve stem.

So the question is if the rims in the pic have such indent. If yes then it’s not wrong, from my short research but if the wheels have no such marking then the yellow dot should be lined up with the valve and it’s not.

They were a little rough at first but once I brought the pressure down to 30, they have been great.

Not sure about the dot. Or which one they used.

there is a picture of a 3GEN sport with stock wheels and wildpeaks in that link.
I bought Wildpeaks from Discount Tire and had them installed at a local garage with no issues so far or vibes.

The yellow dot should be in line with the valve stem on the TPMS sensors if you have them. See photos for clarity. This is my second set of Falkens never had any issues running these tires.

It’s possible they lined it up with the red dot to the “spot” on the wheel (saying they are marked from the manufacture)? At least from the brief reading explaining the dots

The yellow dot is the lightest spot on the tire...the valve stem is always the heaviest spot on the rim. Not much else to it unless a manufacturer states otherwise.

Yes I understand that but you are forgetting option 2… the red dot. So all I was saying/asking isn’t it possible they mounted using that option… uniformity (red) over weight (yellow)
