lol this is so true about all our East coast events, we dont intend for them to be mall crawl show offs it just happens..

We do some events out west and down here in Florida and wheel the entire time, trust me I would prefer to offroad and explore all day then sit in a parking lot for 10 minutes but doing yotamafia full time means we have to give everyone attention.

Alright you suspension gurus *cough cough @BadgerBoy @BYJOSHCOOK *, what do I need to do to get my height back since I've added all this weight? Ive been pointed towards the Bilstein 5100's, but don't know much about suspension when it comes to these trucks, just havent had the time to thoroughly scour the forums about it honestly. Currently on OME on all 4 corners, I think i have an add a leaf in the rear??

What should I expect to spend to refresh all 4 corners? Something to note is that I've noticed my truck hitting the bump stops in the rear very often, even going over a harsh dips in the city. I would like to retain a decent, streetable ride, but I also need something that will perform decently off-road, hauling a little booty over washed out, gravel roads. I also haul a 4000# landscaping trailer from time to time, but that shouldn't be a huge factor. This is my all purpose, do everything, truck. Not looking to break the bank, but willing to spend some money on something that is practical for my application, yet not overkill. Let me know yalls thoughts!

I'm no guru...but a good less expensive route would be Billies, 6112 with 700# springs and 5160 out back with a Dakar medium pack. Problem with Bilstein is they sell them with 600# springs and they are going to be too soft, so an extra 180 is needed to be spent. Otherwise you could probably just upgrade your current springs on the ome and get a new leaf pack out back.

Doing a brief search, I'm not able to find specific part numbers for the springs by looking up 700lb bilstein or ome spring, where should i be looking? Also, would 700lb be too much for me? Keep in mind my front bumper is aluminum, and im running synthetic line in my winch. I do have full skids though

I've really gotta pull a part number off my front suspension to see what # they are currently...

Eibach springs, my Slimline probably weighs about the same as your aluminum and I'm also synthetic line, the nice thing is you don't have to preload the crap out of them, think I'm 3,4 on the clips.

Cheapest option is a set of SumoSprings. They are a night and day difference in stability towing, and will bring you back to factory height. I love mine, they eliminated the jarring whomp noise when I hit against the factory bumpstops, and lifted me back to factory height with my HC rear.

I also added Dakar leaf springs. I think that was a good idea, but if I could do it again, I'd start with just the sumos and see if that did it, only adding the Dakars after if I needed to.

You will lose a bit of flex with Sumosprings. That's the only downside.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00O4GD38M is what I installed on my 2017. You can see them in this pic from when I was doing my axle chop, the blue cylinder on top of the axle. It rests against the frame when you're not flexed.

Do you have a 2.5" shock body? These are what I went for with my Fox springs to get my front height back after a winch / plate bumper: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/EIB-14003000700S - they're Eibach's, just like @BadgerBoy was talkin about.

Preload the shock itself right? So you're pretty much at the lowest setting? Are those eibachs for the Bilstein shocks or OME or both?

Hmmm, I plan on a u bolt flip kit, so not sure if those would work. While towing is something i do occasionally, it doesnt need to be the reason i go with one setup over another. My trailer is a tandem axle as well, so its fairly stable as is.

I'm honestly not sure what I have, I just know i have OME shocks and springs up front and OME shocks in the rear with i believe and add a leaf.

Yea there are 5 or 6 settings for the clips with 6 being the highest. I used to run 5,6 on 600# springs now I'm 3,4 with 700# and helped a ton with body roll due to no sway bar. Springs are for 2.5 bodies So I they don't think they work with OME. Headstrong off-road has the best prices, they also have the springs just have to call and ask. For the way you like to push it on trails I would say 2.5 would be the way to go and remote resi 5160 are reasonably priced. Nice thing about the Dakar pack is you can always add the additional leaf if you add more weight.

Okay I see. What is the maintenance like on those? One other thing I forgot to mention is that I would like something that’s not heavy on maintenance and needs rebuilding often, as I put a lot of miles on the truck

Bilstein is about to release a 6112 with a 650 lb spring.

Not sure when - but "soon"...

Ok researched it, they are non rebuildable. Could also look to run 5100 up front and just up the spring to something stiffer I don't know much about which ones but think it's a pretty beat to death topic.
