the 2nd is manual and the 3rd is auto makes a huge difference in butt dyno.

unless you do a 0-60 or 1/4 mile with them then I'd bet the 3rd wins.

On take off, my '06 is much more torquey. My '18, once it hits 4K rpms, it really takes off! lol

I believe you are right. I like for some of my torque to be in the lower rpm range, which I wish it was in the 3rd gens. I wonder how 2nd gen 4.0 6MT would fare against a 3rd gen 3.5 6MT?

I'm tall for an Asian guy though. I've been back to Vietnam/Cambodia/Laos a few times and I tower over all the males there! Come back to the USA and I'm a shorty again...

Those 3rd gens 6mt are geared so low it'd feel torquey, but the engine will still shine high rpms since it's smaller displacement.

It's no different than if the Tacoma would've gained .5L on the engine, it would've felt more torquey, but been lacking on top end.

honestly $5k for the TT OVTune setup looks very tempting when people consider it's cheaper to get than trading in because of lack of power.

I'm fine with power if the thing got about 25 mpg when new stock 4x4. I feel that's fair since most non toyota 1/2 tons can get 22-23 mpg in a full size 4 door 4x4.

Me and my sister had to share a seat belt in the middle all the way up till i was 13. I was the shifter from 5 on lol. It was easier for me to do it than for my dad to due to us being i the way lol.

i find my computer to be very accurate for my hand calculations before I add the percentage that my tires throw off the reading.

computer when stock was dead on, and actually i got 23-23.5 on a few tanks before any mods.

accurate, I love having my bed rack with plenty of space to access from the sides. That's one thing I never loved about my non-windoor camper shell.
