First time, long time. Just got a 2019 SR5 V6 Access Cab. Loving it...

Brake Controller. I know I need one. I know I don't know what my final trailer will be (we're going to rent a few to see what we like first).

I believe the Tekonsha P3 is what I need... however, all I can find for wiring adapters don't work on the 2019... they state they work up until the 2018 (on Amazon). Should I believe that, or can I use any Toyota wiring adapter?

    TIA.

    Greg

I would think that most of those companies just haven't updated their websites for the 2019 model year. I think you'll be fine with any wire adapter that works for a 16 and up.

Has anyone tried this bc? My personal choice is the KH hydraulic that taps into the rear brake line, buuuut, in the world of ABS it's not an option.

Both are Stock - built correct from the start.

I just ordered a plug n play wire harness for my 2019 Tacoma and Prodigy P2 from ETrailer. Like $15.

Depending on how well the pigtail connector is stuffed behind the harness under the left kick panel, it takes about 20 minutes to mount and hook up the controller; it's plug and play with the proper pigtail adapter.
