Yes sir, lowers intake temps, adds more fuel, boosts octane to about 110, and steam cleans the valves. Mainly for added it for another safety mechanism though

Using your windshield washer bottle to hold it or do you have a separate tank?

Using the windshield washer reservoir. Was gonna do a separate tank, but the SAI pump was in the way.. now that thats been deleted, i may just add another pump there and then a bigger tank in the bed.

HP tuners MPVI2 allows you to disable the CEL, change values in a couple tables to prevent limp mode, and then you can completely remove the SAI junk and use block off plates on the exhaust. You should pop into the HPtuners thread on here. Tons of great info and folks willing to help!

Could you just leave it in place and disable it saving the monies of blockoff plates?

Not recommended you do that. You need the blockoff plates to reduce the risk of fire. If hot exhaust gas gets thru the valves when theyre stuck open, it could cause melting of the pump itself at WOT for example. Or thats how i understand it at least..

I have seen ppl put the block off plates and leave the pump in place for smog, but thats a nonissue for us in tx

Its a great addition for us 12-15 owners looking to increase reliability!! I highly recommend. Its weird when you turn the truck off and the vacuum pump no longer kicks on. Takes a little getting used to

Only aftermarket items on my truck are the small lift spacer and my grille guard.

Here's a couple of my oil change tips.

Narrow plastic cup with a small bungee cord.

    IMG_5987_zpsfiljnxfy_7a16d4a38a2788cb1c8e10e2478cff4ec3a6964f.jpg IMG_5986.jpg

If you do your own OCs you've probably had that initial gush of oil that splatters out as it hits your drain pan. Here's my $4 solution. Cut the bottom out of it and your done. That easy. Wipe it out and use it again and again.
