Also, some interesting findings when looking at logs from @snowsk8air2 's truck, which prompted me to look at the various TRD cal's i have from different years.

TRD CAL USERS.... yall special supercharged people.... theres stuff left on the table that might be easily grabbed in 1st gear!

Looks like there is some RPM based max throttle blade angle limiting going on, essentially you do not get max 84* throttle blade angle between rpms of 2000 to 5200... THE MEAT of the power band in first gear. This if found under Engine -> Airflow -> "Fwd/Rev" -> 1st gear

Tag your supercharged hptuner friends people!

    See below:

    Hello,
I have a '15 DCSB TRD O/R 4WD and I am interested in bypassing or completely eliminating the Secondary Air Intake System (SAIS). My search lead me to a thread named:
Hewitt-Tech Secondary Air Injection Bypass kit (2012+ 4.0) (UPDATED 21-OCT-2016)

    In that thread @vssman commented:
"HP Tuner is a tuner software and module that connects through the OBD port and reflashes the ECU with user modified program. There's about 10 checkboxes that are needed to be modified which turn off the SAIS. Works well for all of the years that the V6 had this system."

I'd rather go this route and hopefully eliminate the SAIS system entirely thus eliminating the chance that my truck will ever go into limp-mode due to some faulty emissions crap. I have no complaints with the performance of my 4.0 but if I can get a tune out of this as well then why not. It may help the performance later on when I go to 285/70r17's

@HPTuners, will your tuner accomplish this?

    Thank you

    Me too!

    That would be great!

I wish you were local, I'd pay you to do so. Thank you for explaining how the credits work. It makes perfect sense.

So just to clear (sorry, I have never flashed or tuned any car computers before) I can buy this HP Tuner & just have the SAIS system deleted from the ECU? I don't have to mess with the performance? I mean I'd like to but I'm not good at that. It's one thing to BUY a tune & it's quite another to do the tune yourself, meaning m, & I honestly have no issues with the trucks current performance.

I assume I have to use a laptop besides the OBD II plug, correct?

Hmm good question. Its under Engine - airflow, so its not under the trans tab, that stated honestly not sure as the TRD Cal's i have seen are Autos. Have a looksee in your cal!

Does this tune get lost if your trucks battery dies or is this "tune it once & done"? As I previously mentioned my main thing is to eliminate the SAIS.

No, when you flash the ecu you permanently write to the truck.

Its only in first gear. Im thinking its programmed that way to keep this from happening :burnrubber: Even NA, sometimes ill blow by the braking traction control before it reduces throttle blade angle

Definitely curious if a MT TRD cal owner can weigh in if its an Auto only thing.
