Unless you have a leak in a line the compressor probably won’t run all the time. At least that’s how I remember it but maybe Jon@Mule can elaborate

It should just cycle on and off as needed

    parts and stuff

the solenoid locks the airpressure in unless there is a leak from solenoid to the locker. the compressor will never turn on unless the pressure switch commands it to once the locker is locked

    About halfway done...
So my floor jack has been slowly leaking and I’m hoping to replace O rings as needed.
But I need help taking it apart.
I need a 2” socket that is also 2.25” deep. I tried all my local mechanics in my area but none of them had something that large.
When I price this online it is half the cost of a new jack:annoyed:
I’m in north Seattle but would obviously drive to wherever someone lives:thumbsup:

Maybe I'm missing something, but can't you just use a wrench?

Call around to either hydraulic shops or heavy equipment shops. They will have something to get it done for you. Either a socket or crows foot or something. Regular car shops that's an uncommon size but getting into heavier machinery it'll be more common

Is it leaking or just slowly bypassing and lowering itself?

Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
I was just thinking the same... why not just throw a box end 2" on there with a "cheater bar" (metal pipe). Should break free and you'd get more torque onto it.

Well most home owners aren't going to have wrenches over 3/4" and 19mm. And even then going up to 2" isn't exactly common and something you can run to Lowe's to grab. 1-1/8 to 1-1/2" sure

Amazon and getting a crows foot would be the cheapest rout if wanting to buy it yourself

I was thinking crescent wrench. I use one for trailer hitch balls goes out past 2 inches.
Get it snug and hold it in place with a gloved hand.
Use gamer taps on the handle till it frees. Will need a set of hands, vise or other method to hold the cylinder.

If he has one sure. I'm just going on what the average home owner has :)

I actually own zero pipe wrenches or money wrenches. Waiting to inherit my grandpa's from my dad (in another 30-40 years hopefully)

@SaphiraTaco I might be able to help you out. My impact gun should zip that off, I'll just need to grab a socket from work. I think we have a 2" in 3/4 drive and I have an adapter to step up from 1/2-3/4. Hopefully it's not 1" drive. Next hopefully is we have one that's 2-1/4" deep. Definitely have a 2" end wrench. I'll take a look tomorrow.

    Sweet thanks!
Yes the jack is leaking from where the piston pushes out. I have found a few 2” sockets already but they weren’t deep enough. I also clamped the collar in my vice and twisted with the leverage of the jack and it ripped my vice off my bench :angrygirl:
So that’s why I thought a Crescent wrench wouldn’t work. My guess is heavy duty impact is needed.

My Milwaukee impact claims 1400ft/lb of tq in reverse. Maybe it's 1200, but I haven't met a nut it either hasn't loosened or broke the bolt as the nut was seized on it.

Dont use a crows foot they will spread, no offense man. Get a knocker wrench for 25 bucks and a 4lbs sledge. If bob doesn't have the right impact socket, i have a bunch of really deep wall sockets from 1-1/4 to 3-1/2. Thats from flat to flat of the nut.
