A WS6 was my high school dream car. All of my buds wanted Subies, and there I was dreaming of a Pontiac.

    The '88 or '98?

The '88 had an L98 and only came in auto; torque monster it was called. Same engine in the Corvette of that time as well; good thing too cause that single year cross-fire injection motor was total shit.

The '98 and on had the LS1.

The '97, dubbed the Firehawk, was unique and had the same LT4 engine from the Grand Sport Corvette in '96.

    I'm a huge GM nerd...

Oh and a fun fact, 1998 was the only year for the "single on the left exhaust" from the factory.

one good thing after getting a $400 quote on all new wheel nuts was their computer had my blue 95 pickup still listed in their system under my name o_O I traded that in in 1997
they actually gave me the VIN so I can look it up somewhere to see if its been salvage titled or still on the road perhaps somewhere

what is the best source to look up VIN to see if its still registered somewhere
    CarFax?

Carfax will only list the city/state for which the vehicle was registered in, serviced, and/or titled and sold.

Having a vin in CA and running a KSR (something that people with DMV access can do) will display who the registered owner is.

i don't need the registered owner (if any still) for privacy
just curious if it has been salvaged or may still be on the road somewhere from a probably registered lookup

For real though, that's impressive...80mph into a tree is no joke. Wonder what the tree looks like

The only part of that thing that's still a 1st gen Tacoma are the front fenders lol.

You may have a very minor case of serious brain damage.
