You’d lose your ass with trading it in. Private party will get you a better price for your truck. And they won’t mark up the price on the new one. (They factory your trade in and add to then trucks value)

i know what i got in my area so ain't no ass losing going on here lol
possibly a midwest unicorn from what I saw (or didn't see) on i70 and i29 and all around St Louis area this past weekend
they want 47k for that i want what i paid as new OTD for mine, I ain't even gonna adjust for inflation on them
deal or no deal

but do i want a TRD Pro... probably not... in the long-term anyways
i think i would rather mess with them wheelers and dealers more than anything

Replaced my leaking windshield tank with a 2000 tank that has the low level sensor.

Then noticed my front radiator body mounts were cracked so I took them off
and were ALOT more than just cracked rubber.
One was totally rotten, One of the steel sleeve inserts totally disintegrated into rust and one of the bolts snapped when I tried to take it off
Never a boring moment

 

im on the Indiana side around hammond/gary. dont see too many first gens out here.

 

theres a spec for stretch to measure. but idealy new ones are recommended

 

did the new bottle include that reddish orange sponge?
i was checking my bottle out recently and saw that down in there, i suppose it is just used to catch dirt like a filter?

 

i saw a number of 2001-2004 models on my 1200 mile journey, only 1 from 98-00
granted I could not keep track of every vehicle coming the other direction on the other side of the median so I may have not seen what I was exactly looking for

 

My old one did and was fallapart, I got one from the salvage yard with pump and sensor for 40.00
It didn’t have orange filter

 

i have never heard if the washer reservoir filter should be replaced or only if dirty
another lifetime part!

 

Haha, it doesn’t come out! I think the earlier Tacoma’s had the orange filter.
There is the top fill cap screen filter only now I believe

 

well shoot i learned something new today!

 

When I was at the salvage yard I didn’t see a single orange filter in any of the tanks.
I know yours and mine do and we have the same year

 

were you not able to fix your original reservoir with that liquid rubber stuff they advertise for use on boats?

 

Possibly but I want a low lever sensor for my methonal kit because the aftermarket low level sensor was acting up. For 40.00 for everything was a better deal.

The plastic on the filler tube had spider cracks everywhere

 

but you are probably right, i have a ton of gravel rock chips from the highways littered with touchup paint that would require me to get a complete new paint job with re-striping and that is costly done the right way

i went to the local LKQ to find needed seat parts for my truck
my truck model is non-existent in their nationwide database
they are going to hook me up with a similar year 4Runner seats from Topeka with the same mileage but different color interior
i have 30 days to make it work with no mods and send it back if it don't work on the switchover

 

oh! so it will gradually get lower and lower into the tank as the level decreases?
