Speaking of fire ants, and sorry if this is too much info:

I was digging a trench with the backhoe at work last year and climbed down into the trench to take a leak. Done, zipped up, and climbed out.

As I was getting in the backhoe I felt some discomfort below the belt which quickly turned into a sensation of a hot needle stuck in the end of ol' Mr. Johnson. Yes, the SOB bit me right there.

After yanking my pants down right there to see what the hell was going on I saw hundreds of the little bastards swarming right where I had been in the trench.

 

@ajm I have suffered many attacks by Fire Ants but never on my "Junk" so glad you lived to tell that story

 

Anyway, the backhoe is 100% stock, so that's where this story fits in this thread.

 

Yeah....I won't kick anyone out for an accessory or two.

Just wanted a place where we stock or mostly stock folks could hang out.

How many times have you posted a picture or seen someone else post a pic and had someone say, "nice.....what are your plans?"

Umm...nothing other than driving it and taking care of it.

None of that here.

 

The only plans I've got for my Tacoma, are to keep it going for as long as l can by doing all the regular maintenance that l can.
Sounds boring to some, l know.
l started modifying my cars ie. cam and intake swaps. Carb rebuilds, etc, when l was 16 years old. But now that I'm retired, l appreciate the dependability of stock.

I just love my Tacoma the way it is!!

 

It being my second Tacoma and a 2nd Gen I want to keep it as long as possible. If something happens to it I will become a 4Runner owner.

 

Mine's actually at the point where a major mechanical repair (something over like $1000) might have me considering getting rid of it.

The roof leaks due to rust along the top of the windshield. The bed is rusted through in one spot. Rear bumper, fenders,

Starting to eyeball some lower milage good condition 1st and 2nd gens

A couple of years ago I took a picture of my wife's Prius.

 

I am basically a stock person too. Not lifted and the only Mod is a Tactical Belly.
