If you have the ability i say do some research and build one that way you know how it operates and exactly what you have in it. Alot of store bought rifles have cheap internals. I built my first one and never regretted it

I've heard that building one can be a cheaper and more reliable option compared to just going and buying a cheap ar out of the box. But I'd need like some kind of build-a-ar thing

Saw the a ruger ar at a gunshop here was thinking about that vs the other brands I've never heard of.

Im not sure about cheaper. Its cheaper to build one than to buy one if equal quality but you can buy a cheap one and you get a cheap one. More reliable yes as long as you build with good parts.

anderson is pretty cheap but decent. Bushmaster is always good. palmetto also cheaper but decent. Average person could put an AR together...its really not that bad with youtube videos...

Putting an AR together is basically Legos, including a couple small fiddly bits to lose to Narnia forever if you're not paying attention. I built mine, super easy. Pro tip, invest in an oops kit. You don't want to have to find the front pin detent when you manage to launch it into the stratosphere.

I saw your post in the Griffin FB group and almost asked why you hadn’t posted them on here :spy:
I’m jealous, I really want a Paladin 5 but way too many other obligations.

Find a Used M&P 15, get a $200-$300 red dot, and buy a case of ammo and you’ll be in for under 1K and get a good bit of trigger time.

    This also works.

I’ll help you build one, you’re only about 4 hours from me, I have all the tools.
If you build one here you’ll get a chance to shoot suppressed....

Even if you crawl around looking for it with a rare earth magnet and 600 lumen flashlight you’ll never find it.

I just took out another armadillo, with my Noveske 300blk tonight.

After RF'n my yard, he took off into the woods, so I almost had to mag dump on him. Problem solved... :infantry:

I know the feel. I've been trying to save up for NV but keep getting sidetracked. I bought the 5.56 Explorr so I could jump in on the Resistance 22M promotion they are having right now. I don't even own a 5.56 rifle.
