Is there a way to clean intake manifold?

Alright previous owner installed a K&N “CAI” and unfortunately I’m not a fan do to it slipping out of the rubber couplers a couple times now. This issues allows air to bypass the air filter and take a direct path to the factory cotton silt filter inside the IM. My question is can I take this filter out and clean it? Replace it? Or is it forever attached the IM?

I'm not a fan of K&N filters either. They just allow more dust through and coat the whole intake with oily residue, thus decreasing the efficiency of your MAF sensor and allowing dust to stick to the surface of intake internals.
