What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

Mm, this is the 1st time I’ve needed one,
The salvage guy said the 4 runner would not fit, I did ask him.
But it will?

 

the LKQ guy asked me if its manual, then it donned on me perhaps the 4runner of 97 also had power seats and manual option

 

i am just concerned about swapping the cushion with intact cloth over to the new pieces and how difficult or problems

I do not want to break any of the blue gray trim stuff

 

they can get a bezel for the 95.5-97 with cupholders
but you have to buy the whole dash for i think $180 but the bezel did not look broken on his PC pic

Edit: I see them as a package. But not as replacement....but now I’m getting interested because my uni balls need to be replaced sooner than later

 

That means you don't have a low fluid sensor for the tank im guessing

I went to the dealer to get them

 

King 2.5 front and rear. TC knuckle gussets and UCA up front. New Toyota LCA and TC 'thane steering rack bushings. Alcan leaf pack on the rear with greaseable OME shackles. Also welded on CBI axle-hoop frame plates to beef up the frame a little. 1.5" lift. Yes, the truck rallies hard!

 

Thanks! those things aint cheap tho damn! $300. I wonder what the life span will be because I can do my uniballs for under $100

 

I do see they say 2005-up so I am asking @TMFF to confirm too.

...I figured I should check the temps of the brakes - you know, just to see if there was any extra friction. And boy, was there ever. A bit of water sprayed on the passenger side rotor just spilled off onto the ground, while on the driver side - it immediately boiled upon hitting the hot metal. This was clearly not good.

Yeah I am. Going to order the gaskets this weekend.

 

I figured just to get new ones I don’t want to go through the hassle to measure them.
