How to get to the bed through the back seat

Is there an easy way to do this? I want to have my fridge in my back seat, but using the the 110v in the bed. I'd just rather do it this way than using my cig plug. Plus it seems to keep up better than using the 12v cig plug.

 

Possibly use a hole saw to drill something like a 1" hole through both the back of the bed and straight through to the cab behind the seats. Obviously remove the seats first. Then insert some rubber grommets. I'm not sure how 100% water proofed it'll be. Just an idea in my wonderful mind.

 

There is a thread on how to do 400w anytime mod and also put a household outlet in the back on your console. I'd do that before cutting holes

 

there are drain holes under your seat. you can cut a hole next to the cubby in the back, route the wire along the factory loom up to the drain hole under your seat and into your cab.

 

The inverter is under the center console. Mount a 110v outlet in the back of the center console. If you're not comfortable splicing wires, there's a TW member that makes a plug and play harness.

Good luck, the 400w and outlet mod is fairly easy. I did it myself on a sat afternoon

 

I would recommend an outlet the gets securely bolted into place vs the push-in style with ears that collapse and expand to hold it in place. Several times I pulled the plug out of the console because the it was not secure enough

 

Make sure your fridge will actually run on only 400W before you start cutting shit...

Can approximate using the following W=(120v)(.95)(amps)

 

As you may know the inverter will shut off to protect itself if something tries to take than 400W

 

This would be the route I would take. Much easier and cleaner to tap into this location,run the power cable under the front seat carpet to the door sills, straight behind the back seats and up to the fridge. I wouldn't recommend a long power run to the back of the bed. That wire may get too hot or kinked over time.

Fridge is super low amps....it's run off of it before....when truck is off it's runs off of a Jackery 240 portable power station and solar.
