I'm with Dan on this one. Absolutely you're free to pay homage to the truck you wish you'd bought. Your money, your truck. But it's not a Ford, so it seems odd to me to use their brand on your rig. Do you mount a swingaway spare mount and call it a Wrangler mount? Put a factory roof rack on the cab and call it an XTerra rack?

Sorry I don’t have naming rights to the product. Just referring to it by the name. How about marking lights... does that hurt you less?

Where do you get these raptor lights from? Is there a group buy or something? Not a fan of exterra racks but the wrangler swing out could come in handy? What are your thoughts on that?

I think I still have an old Isuzu Rodeo swinging tire carrier.

Ha, appreciate that. I don't daily drive the truck, so don't have a ton of critiques yet. After a long trip this weekend it seems like the USB port charges my phone just as fast as my 24W Anker car charger and not much slower than any standard wall charger. As far as other components, I bought a pair of 6x9's to replace the front door speakers and new tweeters, but haven't got around to installing them. The deck itself has made the stock speakers sound noticeably better.

    Couple initial gripes:

    - Can't connect to CarPlay via bluetooth, you have to be plugged into USB.
    - The AX1000 model only has a USB port on the front, so there's no clean method to hide the cable aside from removing it when I don't need to charge/use CarPlay.
    - I'm nitpicking here, but the touchscreen is not the most responsive. Makes it kind of an annoyance to change tracks or stations while you're driving.

Retro! I like your thought process, is it compatible with the third gen gladiators?

I’ve the ax100 and you can’t connect car play via Bluetooth either. That or maybe I’m missing something there

Doesn't hurt at all. Seriously. Call the thing an F150 for all I care. Just strikes me as odd. No ill will intended. Ya'll have beautiful trucks.

Regreased my UCAs last night. Simple task that only involved having to make a run to the store for a 22mm wrench because TC said it was 19mm, and was incorrect, and getting the nozzle stuck on the zerk and having to dismantle my grease gun elbow deep in a wheel well to break the seal. But despite its best efforts, I have won!

Nope, you're correct. Sony's "lower-end" models like the AX100 & AX1000 don't support CarPlay via Bluetooth. They make you upgrade to the more expensive models for that

Wasn't worth the extra ~$200 in my opinion.

Those Taxa trailers are very cool! My dad sells them at his RV dealership. I believe he uses the Mantis for his personal use and takes it down some crazy trails for a trailer.

Almost bought new headlights and stumbled across an, almost brand new, OEM set for $80. Needless to say I feel like I can actually see at night now.

I used this same meme in another thread yesterday when some was making fun of the raptor lights. Props my man!

Just did this same thing! Took the money I save and invested in some Sylvania ZXE’s. Massive difference and it’s plug n play

I've thought the same, struck me as odd. Now that you've brought it up I think there's a great opportunity to hear everyone's thoughts on a new name and let's see if something sticks
