Same shit, different day. In the office catching up on some billing. After sweating my balls off the last few days. Dang, it's been nasty out there.

    Rite rite.

I took this week off to get some things done. Even though I work outside year around, I haven’t done crap around the house because of the heat. Haha.

Need to get my happy ass in gear.

Another day at the office....but about to switch some things up and save myself about an hour and a half in commute time every day, these last three years of 1 hr 20 min each way has been rough. On top of that, will have the train as an option (less than a mile from my house and only a 20 minute ride) which the gov covers a portion of as an incentive to keep another car off the road!

    What up, Christian?.

A guy I know rides the train every day up on Long island. About the same commute as your drive time. Every now and then, he drives his jeep for a change of pace.

Says the train isn’t bad. Does see some weirdos though. Haha.

Yeah this is just 2 stops from the one next to my house onto Quantico (cutting past gate traffic) and then a 15 min walk to my new offices. Only issue is restrictive travel times, but it'll help keep me on a schedule and help keep me from getting fed up with traffic, so I'll take it!

Not the same but if you head down near Blacksburg go to the Cascades Waterfall with a huge swimming hole at the base, about a mile hike in. When we were little we went and my dad told us he would give us $5 for 5 strokes across the swimming hole, but we weren't allowed to touch the water before diving in.
Let's just say it'll take your breath away after a mile hike on a 90 degree day.

I never realized how much commuting sucks the life out of you until I got a job 5 minutes from my house. I still have to commute to different sites every now and then but man it is such a major life change to not have to invest 3 hours a day getting to and from work.

I know that not everyone has that opportunity so I consider myself very lucky in that respect.

    Hope it all works out!

So.... I’ve been going round and round with jeep dealers.

My passenger air bag needs to be replaced under warranty (been getting phone calls and mailers). One says the bumper needs to be pulled. Other says no, only dependent on certain build dates.

I tell the chick on the phone that I have a winch plate and winch... will there be a charge if if it has to come off. Phone is silent... She then proceeds to say mine requires the passenger inflator only and the bumper is not removed..

So, to be safe. Gonna remove it. thinking I may as well remove because I’m probably gonna sell it anyway.

I tell ya.... Getting a straight answer from someone today is down right pathetic.

I really hope the Toyota dealer around me will be better to deal with than the Jeep dealers we have.

Congrats on the change. You going to be working for the USMC or still with NSWC just out of Quantico?

Yeah. That hour long commute I had out there really sucks up some time. I'm at 20 minutes now out here in AR.
