OEM style switch

Definately the lower ones are easier. I had to be *difficult* and put the switch in the upper location.

 

i poped mine out with the edge of a knife...way easier

 

all that needs to be done for the lower ones was take out the little pull out compartment and pop out the blanks. *alot easier*

 

I got one if mine installed today, they say No trimming but youll have to trim a little.

 

think it will fit the 08?

I have it installed in my 07 so it'll fit your 08.

You do need to trim the switch just a little bit, but not much.

I will mention - that switch was under $7 to order it but cost $7 to ship it. So a total of $14. If you can get this exact switch at your local dealer cheaper - get it at the dealer.

 

I just installed 3, will add lights to one, bed light to other. 3rd ?? AGREE with the trim issue, not a "plug and play" items. 1st switch I trimmed a little more, and slowly backed off to get the others to fit.
As for removal, I have a tool for that, but it also works to remove the little compartment below (hides fuses).
Looks bad a*# to see the blanks filled up!

 

Do you trim the switch itself or the dash slot?

 

dash slots... used a razor knife, then a course file. Start small, meaning take off a little at a time until you get the fit.
The rest is gravy.

As you can see I mounted them upside down from other people. I had a hard time seeing them when on. For me this way works the best, but to each his/her own.
Being 6'5" has it's draw backs

 

That does look good Ill have two in I would like to install another, I just dont have anything els that needs a switch, YET

 

ya, thought the same thing myself, but for the cost and fill a plugged hole, why not.
I may go with back-up lights, but still need to look at a location.
Trying to talk the wife into a bumper like yours with the winch, then one of the switches is covered use wise. But so far she is not buying it, maybe a x-mas gift.......hum

 

Cant decide which way i like the switches to sit in the off position better!

Not buyin it A, Well worth it, I just got the other one hooked up I have the lights on the front bumper and the rear lights.

 

guess it is one of those calls, "one way or the other"

Called my dealer about these switches im going to be installing bed lights and i read him the part number and he was like thats not a valid number i said for him to enter the P/N in the computer anyway and sure enough it pops out he was shock so im getting me a switch tomorrow for $18 and atleast i know it fits. p/n:00550-35976 Thanks to those who posted this part number
