Installed the Dashtop Multi Mount (DMM) from The Taco Garage today. What a badass product. Looks totally factory and I've got room for more RAM mounts than I'll ever need.

I had to roll up my sleeves and finally figure out this 20-40mph vibration from the rear that is driving me crazy. After the 1.5" AAL and 1" rear block, my truck picked up some vibes. Tried different carrier bearing drops that didn't make a difference, so I stumbled upon this thread-

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/drive-shaft-vibrations-solved-step-by-step.244535/

Now the fun begins. I need to get that rear pinion angle <3 deg. in relation to the rear shaft which is currently at 4.8 deg. I ordered 2.5 deg. shims from Toytec, based on my calculations, that should get the pinion/rear shaft angle to back to stock range of 2-3 deg. Wish me luck.

Don't be. Good motor, fuel tank needed sealing, pins and bushings need replacing, eats grease like I drink beer, could use a new bucket. Brakes? Lol! But for a backyard cowboy like myself it works. Plenty usable machines out there in the 7k range. Right now this one needs work. My shorthair ate my wiring harness going after mice that took up residence there. One of my many retirement projects.

Congrats on your retirement! I was supposed to go out in April too, but the boss's boss asked me to stay until this past Friday. I negotiated a bit and was able to pay for my '19 DCLB. These past few months were hell, but worth it in the long run. I've got the fever, the fever to travel!

Not looking to ruffle any feathers but I found that to be the case in Denver and some of the larger cities and towns. Much smaller cities and towns with small populations not so much, at least from my experience.

Better you than me Kimosabe. Have enough projects now. One of the reasons my suspension is still stock.

...and thank YOU. Was I right about no locks on the tonneau?

I've never paid attention to these things. My Taco came with the tonneau, so no decisions needed to made. It's a Fold-a-Cover G4, which has locks at the rear and front driver's side, though the rear one has never latched properly (needs some fine tuning).

Have an aunt and uncle that used to own a motel and convenience store near the beach on the Gulf side of Florida. They only ran it from March (spring break) through September (the more profitable months) then handed the keys over to a retired Canadian couple every October. They then rented the rooms to other Canadians.

Just a thought, have you ruled out the ecgs bushing? If not, while driving straight 30-40mph put it in 4wd hi and see if it goes away.
