I have been trying to plan either one extended trip (a week or so), or two shorter trips (long weekends) to the Las Vegas Nevada and southwestern Utah areas for some camping and wheeling. I was wondering if I could pick your guys' brains a little bit if possible. I’ve been wanting to get out on some trails in the Hurricane/St George area as well as exploring near the Valley of Fire Natl Park just northeast of Las Vegas. I have read a little bit about the Logandale Trail system and I have found a basic trail map. However, I haven’t come across much information out there on trail difficulty or ratings like can be found for the Sand Hollow OHV area outside of St. George. I would also like to incorporate visits to both Zion and Bryce Canyon during the St. George leg of the trip if I have time. Do you have any suggestions for good fun trails to run or any “Must-See” views? Also any tips for dispersed camping locations are always appreciated.

Also does anyone now if a flag is needed in all of the Sand Hollow OHV area or only needed in the dunes area?

If you are going during the Fall or Winter check out Gold Butte National Monument. It's East of The Valley of Fire and has some cool stuff to check out.

Look into the West section of the Southern Utah Traverse too. It's a pretty cool section close to St George.
