All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
    I like your style ;)

Coworker bought that Thule I'd picked up. Didn't make any money on it, but I got my investment back plus some gas money. And the learning experience.

Bonus was it gave me an excuse to hang with a homie for a bit

    Hey guys!

Has anybody tried to fit a MTB inside the cabin on a double cab? I was wondering if it would fit standing up without the front wheel in the rear if I put my seats down. I like having peace of mind that I can lock it in there if I have to park outside for a long time?

Currently I ride a Salsa Timberjack 27.5+ but might add a 29er in the future too. Hope I explained myself.

    Thanks!

I've jammed one in there before. You'll need to drop your saddle though

Awesome!! I can definitely do that. Perfect excuse to buy a dropper. My goal is to build something like this (just one bike) but for it to go sideways in the rear part of the cabin.

Nice. That may work. But if you have wide bars I would not count on it

You are likely to face a challenge of wide bars not fitting within the space without them poking through the area between the front seat and the side pillar.

Most of the go to spots are pretty deadly right now, but then the REAL goods that all the dirt roadies and casuals don't bother going to are still super good to go. Mainly cuz they are in the trees in shady canyons.

True. I didn't even think about that... at least I know I could jam it in there for 'safety' purposes like @honda50r said. Maybe transporting it isn't going to work.

    Thank you all!

    ashy larry...heh heh nice

not sure when that was but town of avon built some sweet trails across the valley(north side) in the open space

as far as Bellyache/Wolcott, it seems to have its own weather patterns right there. not to mention bellyache is high up there, very short season compared to 30 min west in eagle

Word! Been hitting those trails since I was a kid, before they were mtb trails.
We should do a meet up at my place, pedal out and then grill it up.
Knee and elbow pads a must. Full face helmet is strongly recommended ;)

I know an old dude that will shuttle us!

I seem to remember trying this with my DCSB when I bought it, with my Size L Santa Cruz Tallboy2. No go. My son’s 27.5 Timberjack seems even bigger than my TB, you know, longer and slacker. Now maybe if you removed the rear wheel and/or the bars ... but try it, my memory isn’t that good.

Excellent. That will give me an excuse to finally buy a full-face and some pads...and then proceed to die on the rocks anyways. :headbang:

You must travel in tight packs down the steep face, gazing into the jaws of madness, only then will you feel a sense of weightlessness...the marvelous almost uncontrollable stampede and then a crack of thunder!!!

    Ha HA!!! I AM ALIVE!!!

I took a ride on my favorite trail this morning and my freshly rebuilt suspension has made a world of difference in my speed but....

I set everything to the suggested default and feel like I am just not getting everything I potentially could out of my suspension tuning. It feels really great on the well maintained smooth trail and jumps, but when I hit the brake bumps it feels really harsh. Any recommendations for what to tune to negate braking bumps? I have a Fox 32 so my adjustments are rebound and shock air pressure.
