I was just exaggerating, it wasn't half a loaf. :rofl:I do remember picking all the old bread out of the hole and starting over several times with a wad of new bread. I eventually gave up.

    Whatcha mean?

Grease has hydrotreated heavy naphthenic; Distillates (petroleum), solvent-dewaxed heavy paraffinic; and Zinc Alkyldithiophosphate — everything a growing boy needs!

Bread dries my hands out, grease keeps them smooth.

I've seen people use Pillsbury biscut dough. So you have a Poppin Fresh pilot bearing. I used red grease on my last clutch job.

When I did mine, I tried grease and it didn't work. It kept squishing out between the bolt and the bearing. Probably would have worked if I had a bolt that was closer to the size of the hole, but I didn't. Gave up on the grease and got some bread, worked like a charm.

Thank you @Tour991 for this. I've heard the bread trick mentioned before but it was never explained or described in detail and I was like WTF?! Now I understand.

TBH, I never actually searched to see if I could figure out how to use the bread and where it goes...
