Alright I just contacted my buddies and a lot cant make it. I may have to cancel/reschedule and just deal with my wife and mother in law who's flying into town Saturday.

So uh, I'll keep yall posted.

If I end up letting yall down I'll buy you each a beer (my choice though!) For the next run.

Let’s do a cleghorn run sometime, easy 2wd trail and 4wd off shoots that reconnect with the easy trail often. Want to test out my sliders :D

Same. I’ll be prepping a Red Canyon Jeep Trail run to the abandoned railroad trestle NE of the Salton Sea.

From the sound of it we were planning on meeting at the staging area here:
    https://www.google.com/maps/place/34°18'18.2"N+117°18'38.8"W/@34.305067,-117.3129777,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x0:0x0!8m2!3d34.305067!4d-117.310789

If for whatever reason @Bumble Bee Tuna drops out and is unable to lead, I'm down to lead the group. I have never done the easier Pilot Rock Truck Trail only the harder one (2n17x) but I already have all of the coordinates downloaded into my gps and I don't think we would run into any anything unmanageable. (although I would like to maybe do an offshoot or two)

@Norsemanvike & @Nicklovin are you guys still trying to wheel this Sunday the 25th?

EDIT: just saw the above posts where bumble bee tuna might have to drop out lol offer still stands though!

yeah you'll be fine just follow the trail and after about an hour or so (depending on how fast you're moving) you'll recognize the part where the 2N17X trail meets up with the regular one. From there it's the same as when we all did it together, all the harder offshoots eventually meet back up with the main trail.

I don't remember it even being that far up the trail. When I mapped it out before I remember it was only a little over a half a mile from the staging area. (I have a weird habit of marking everything in my GPS apps for future reference lol)
