Electric is better!

 

These are designed to start building hella early, the Z31 is built to fully spool by like 2k and to be making a pound or 3 before 1500. I just wanna ask more from it eventually so I'm gonna have to move that range up a bit. I have more get up and go being NA (9.0:1 compression) than a turbo model (7.8:1) anyway so I'll be faster off the line without boost and I'll build boost faster anyway. NA models make better turbo models haha

 

But it's like still 20k for an electric assisted turbo

 

Not really 9.0:1 is still pretty low compression in the grand scheme of things. As with anything it's all in the tune, watch your timing numbers. But the VG30 world record was set with a stock NA bottom end and it reached 857rwhp with 33psi. The VG is built to boost with 14 head bolts per head. They don't blow HGs, and they only knock if your tune is crap or you run the wrong octane for your tune.

Are you talking about the transfer case shifter or the auto shifter?

 

You're just in the later part of stage 1 of hoarding...organization. It's like the denial step of the 5 stages of grief. Eventually organizing it all will become too much work and you'll move into acceptance at which point we'll see you featured on that Hoarders tv show and I'll be like 'I know that dude'

Mine isn’t bent if you want to give it a try. I just don’t have push-button 4WD obviously so I couldn’t use it. Came from a 1996 4Runner Limited.

Haha I've looked at your thread...don't think I need anything from that bin. But I'm interested in what you're hiding in the bin you're keeping for yourself...Relentless bumper perhaps

 

4Runner heated mirrors, mint radio/HVAC trim, a whole bunch of power lock actuators/motors, Ark of the Covenant, three sets of power door harnesses and buttons, new cup holder table for the rear ext cab. Ya know, the usual.

How’s that welding class by the way?

 

It was just a weekend thing, it was cool I got to practice a lot with SMAW/stick welding. Got my feet wet basically. Looking into local community colleges to take some night classes next

 

No idea. They were Miller machines that he mentioned cost about $6k each

Was a welding certification center so they were well equipped
