To be honest I would just remove them. Seen untold numbers of small boat trailers with no fenders.

    Sure, eventually, if you wanted.
I was going to suggest just stopping at the local hardware store and picking up some flat brackets (and bolts/nuts/washers) to use as extender brackets.

    Something like this:

    https://www.homedepot.com/p/4-Hole-...racket-Silver-Galvanized-ZX207EG-10/206840467

Or just pull them; lots of boat trailers don't run fenders at all, but then you'll spray your boat down with whatever you're driving over.

Hmm, wasn't sure if this was allowed or not, but I guess trailers don't get inspected either.

It would be 99% highway/main road type stuff, very little dirt or stone now that I've moved.

    Well.....

Fin may be small. But he's mighty.

    This dude

Decided to high jump up over the gate, and then get on the 3' tall counter, or so my security alarm notified me.

Which means I had to last minute build this so he will stay put while I'm at work tomorrow

And all that jumping now has him tuckered out

So far so good. The skinny one was actually the more curious one. I think the big one just doesn't care

Cats will hide for a few days or more usually when you bring a new dog in the house and they aren't sure about it.

The fact that your cats DGAF is a good sign about the dogs temperament...and maybe the cats too.

Just throwing this out there because you never know... if ANY of you know ANYONE in construction that wants to make a change, I am desperately looking for framing foremen who can read plans and do framing layout of light gauge metal for drywall. My good foremen are pretty much all making over 6 figures right now, we pay very well for good people. All our work is in the greater Boston area but not downtown, lotta bio-tech, financial and tech firms. We do somewhat large work, an average drywall contract for us is in the $100-$300k mark with some jobs in the $1-3mil mark. We just signed 6 mil to build by 2nd qtr 2020 and I am screwed if I can't find more quality foremen.

Absolutely dying here in this trade. I don't know who's going to build the next generation of buildings- they better get cracka-lackin on those construction robots boy...

Our builder and his wife are coming over for dinner tonight, he's about to retire and has a few good guys on his crew...also knows most everyone in our area of western MA. I'll see if he knows anyone who would be qualified and might be looking to step it up.

GOOD LUCK though, hiring quality people is one of the hardest parts of any job IMO.

Guys son is a commercial GC in Albany area and has been for years with a bigger company. He might have some guys looking for a change, although he might not want to send good guys to someone else...but you never know, maybe a wife has to move for a job etc.. etc...

Nothing will probably come of it, but I'm gonna try!
