According to the San Francisco Chronicle, from now on a convicted felon or an offender released from custody will be known as a “formerly incarcerated person,” or a “justice-involved” person or just a “returning resident.”

A juvenile “delinquent” will now be called a “young person with justice system involvement,” or a “young person impacted by the juvenile justice system.”

And drug addicts or substance abusers, meanwhile, will become “a person with a history of substance use.”

I'm not saying it would be great or anything, but, we need a real world war to remind people what being offended actual means because this shit is getting out of hand.

At the rate things are going, globally, we're about to repeat 1936 again.

So...be careful what you wish for.

At least I can't be called back to active duty anymore.

Maybe they should concentrate more on cleaning up the turds on the street.

I'm not wishing for it, just saying, people have forgotten what offended means. The shit that people bitch about now doesn't mean shit in a real world sense of how shitty things really can get and I think it takes something so monumental like that to remind most people....unfortunately.

My dad just texted me to inform me that he's been declared legally dead by Bank of America...three months after closing all of his accounts with them. He's having to deal with the Social Security Administration right now about this...and waiting for his lawyer to call him back.

This is going to be good!

You see two two complete sides of it all back in Australia. We have cities with every possible luxury available for the public and then you see places like my home outside of Katherine where you have to stock the pantry deep on dry goods before monsoon season or you’re out of luck. Need a doctor around that time? Hope the weathers not so bad that the ambulance plane can fly you to Darwin or east to the coast. The butcher turns up in a refrigerated tractor trailer around every two to three weeks If the roads aren’t washed out. Potable water is as valuable as petrol and while we whine and sulk, the aboriginal people nearby do the same with much less.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
Why would they declare him dead? Do they have that kind of power?

Turns out that the SSA sent BofA a letter letting them know he died, but it has grandpa's SSN on it. They got their social security numbers in the same place on the same day. He's still getting checks, so the whole thing is confusing.

It's either a computer glitch or stupid human tricks. Based on what I know about that government organization, it's a 50/50.
