Yep. You're better off taking a 2 hour nap and coming back to work. It'll take you that long being half asleep anyways.

Did half of it. Had a few hiccups....u bolts too short. Center pins too short...missing 2 nuts in the hardware pack. Luckily my garage is a taco graveyard and I had extras:thumbsup::rofl:

I'm gonna finish the rest later. Its 100 degrees and I'm beat.20190822_124636.jpg

Double wrap to the front and they are passenger and driver's side specific.

Looks good man. I need to measure my Dakars and Deavers to make sure the ubolts will fit. I am glad I didn't cut them after installing them.

Super :jellydance::jellydance: and looking forward to joining you this weekend!!

I think the ones in the deaver kit would have worked if I didnt put 4 degree shims in. I had driveline vibes before the shackle flip and didnt want to go through that again. Same thing with center pins would have worked without the shims. Looks like I'm going to have to get back at it sooner than I wanted. Rains coming:rain::sadviolin:

I am wondering if I can salvage everything I have too. I have shims that will be staying. I didn't even think of that. Luckily I anti seized everything back when it was installed less than a year ago. Saturday should be interesting to say the least.

I got it done. Those bigger bolts on the shackles with the blind nut kicked my ass. I kept having to clean powder coat out of them trying to get it in. Brute force method worked in the end.

It rides like a freaking race car now I love it. I have a good amount of arch in the springs. Perfect!!

    Thanks for the recommendation :hattip:

    Done! @TaKoToy @JHEAL77

Took a lot longer than I hoped for, a trip to the hardware store and I should probably get a new ubolt flip kit and center pins, but it's done.

    - Deaver U402 S3's
    - BAMF shackles
    - put the old CB drop kit in

I gained about 3/4" back in the rear too. All grade 8 hardware used and anti-seize on all the threads. The rear suspension is finally "done". Only thing really left is frame plates for the rear and a new frame crossmember.

On to the front finally! (Need to order)

I hope my TW dad is proud @jberry813

Just goofing around @geekhouse23. Looks fucking fantastic! I’m sure your fillings in your teeth thank you for not getting rattled out.

PS that sticker on the rear diff is $$$

Did you end up shimming your rear differential? If so, what angle shim did you use?

Also, will you need to use limit straps at all with your setup?

Thanks, TW dad. Need to reach that "big dick baller" status like you. Maybe some day...

Going out this morning for a drive. Yesterday, I finished up and parked it to relax for date night. Date night was in an area where there was only parking structure parking and this bitch doesn't fit. Excited to drive it this morning.

3 degree shim from the old setup. I moved it to this setup. I added the CB drop back too.

I will see if the 3 degree is enough. Should have a status update there soon. I will have to test the travel soon too once I drive it and it settles. I am sure that I will have to install limit straps I just need to break it all down again and see.

I need to order new center pins and bolt flip kit too. Broke both of the center pins on the deavers installing the collars for the shims. There are some grade 8 bolts in there now and it works but I should replace them when I break the leaf packs down for travel and limit straps.

Everything rides GREAT!! So much smoother and planted than the Dakars. Granted they're new and haven't settled yet.

I have no fillings, but I definitely notice less dump truck effectin the rear. Deavers and Kongs are a winning combination.

I'm going to order a new ubolt flip kit and center pins this week. I should have called Marie and swapped the ubolts for the flip kit like you did.

The flipped U bolts they sent me were too short with the 4 degree shims . Looking at a Dana 60 from ECGS so going to keep what I have for awhile now.

I can confirm that the Wheeler's kit works perfectly. Luckily they have the option to only buy the bolts and no plate. But holy fuck do they fuck you on shipping. $18 for those bitches. I better get my candy this time.

No candy. They got worried about food allergies last someone on here asked them about it. Would hate to see a great parts shop go under cuz of a damn tootsie roll.

Welcome to 2019...the year of the Sensis (sensitives). I like Wheeler's, but they charge an arm and a dick for little u-bolts. $25 was a deal until it was $18 for shipping.

The thing that really won me over was the fact that I didn't have to buy another kit. Just offering the u-bolts for their kit really sets them apart IMHO.

Just buy the size you need from these guys.

Edit: little more money, but much beefier parts and free shipping over 50bucks.
