I got my Victory 4x4 roof rack delivered, and I'm not sure how to feel about it. I took some pictures, the finish does not seem great. Light scratches on the powder coat, missing spots, rust looking junk that I can't get off, and I feel like it wasn't deburred.

This is the first roof rack I'veb so I don't have the experience to know if what I'm seeing is normal or not. What do y'all think?

Hey would you guys ever run retread mud tires? found some for a great deal, but I don't know much about retreads that aren't on semi trucks.

Looks like they took it right off the plasma table, kinda knocked the slag off and said that was good enough. Depending on how much you paid, I’d say you get what you pay for or you over paid.

Paid around 600 from the manufacturer. I like the rack, and ultimately is going to get wear and tear, I just expected a better quality finish.

Yeah, I’d write them a nasty letter. That’s not worth 600 bucks right there. Those parts don’t even look like they were prepped before powder coat which makes me believe the powder coat will eventually start to fail as well. Back in the day, my prinsu was less than that and the craftsmanship was great.

School bus fleets and airplanes use retreaded tires.

Looks like they forgot to take a wire wheel to it before powdercoating.

Yea, I'm not sure what I want to do yet. I'm not really sure what they would do, I don't really expect a whole new perfect rack to get hand delivered with white gloves or anything. Just a bummer when your excited about a product, research it for months, and finally decide to pull the trigger only to get something that doesn't meet expectations. Shit happens I guess.

Is the whole rack like that or just the front fairing? Maybe they can just send you another one of those if it is?

The whole rack, on the blowout side. Even the logos aren't clean, which you would think would be perfect.

I run re molds. Not re treads. Different process. I don’t love my tires, but I 100% don’t think that’s attributed to them being re molds.

TUSCALOOSA PEOPLE! Camp Cherry Austin Tunnel run this Saturday, 8/24. Second weekend in a row for us, and we ran it Saturday and Sunday last week. Epic trip. Steep descents, creek riding, water crossings, rock strewn tunnels, hill climb that NO short wheelbase vehicle has made it up. It has it all. @JBTacoma, if you're bored, come on down to T-town this Saturday.
