Yeah. @Coot83 and I both went there. They messed up the work they did on both of our trucks.

I maybe that Jeremy guy depending on who's asking, but I may also have no idea who you're talking about. :spy: :spy:

Well I've learned I should avoid that place so that's helpful info, thanks to both of you for your feedback.

I personally know the people at ORI (Chris, John, Wayne), and will vouch for their work. I however do not know what they charge for a CMC.

So far that place is the furthest from me, but it's a possibility. Thanks for feedback.

I also hear you're doing 35s on your 3rd gen? What should I be concerned about if I choose to do 34s rather than 33s?

5.29. And the truck feels great. Honestly, Im going to 35s, and I have a bunch of armor so it was no contest for me between 488 and 5.29.

I believe @2016Taco4Me has 34s (295s). Id ask him how his truck is set up. Same with @EatSleepTacos. But everyone's truck can be a bit different.

For example, with 35s, you need to worry about BS on wheels, offset, UCA's, cmc, alignment, bump stops, a whole mess of shit honestly. Then you most likely will want gears, as the power is GONE. Heres an example. My 255 85s weigh 57 pounds. 315s weigh in the same tire (st maxx) 67lbs. That honestly is a lot of unsprung weight. I tried to offset the weight by getting the lightest wheels I could, scs f5s, that weigh around 19lbs each, where as the factory wheels i have now are 24lbs.

Edited with weight of wheels and tires

96lbs- 4 factory trd off road wheels + 228lbs Cooper St maxx 255 85 16- total 324lbs of unsprung weight.
    76lbs- 4 scs f5s in 16x8 + 268lbs Cooper St Maxx 315 75 16 - total 344lbs of unsprung weight

Go slow because you will probably bottom out. When you get to the steps take it easy, the front bumper hangs a little low so it can get caught up. Overall be cautious if it’s your first time. Personally I’m more concerned about the spot with the tree you hug to get up a spot before meadow knob.

Interesting. I just had their beer for the first time. I wasn’t expecting it to be as good as it was. Given I did just miss my stop on the metro...

You can make it. But it might take a little extra "skinny pedal" . Be sure to air down appropriately.

 I left the forum open on my phone at work, so I could multi-quote some posts later. I wasn't reading when you tagged me. :p I was sweating my balls off in 100 degree heat and 50+% humidity. :bananadead:

Yeah. I took the risk hoping it was a fluke, or that they had learned something and wouldn't fuck it up again. :frusty:

If it seems to be worse on deceleration, it may be the preload on the pinion bearing has loosed up.

On other matters...I have had numerous work done at ORI and have been very satisfied.

From research I have done...33” tires should use 4.88, 35” tires should use 5.29.
