I'm now getting conflicting answers about if I have the correct wires from the meso instagram(not rightwires) and customers(i got the right stuff).lol I'm just going to install and see what happenes..lol

There are wires that you don’t have picture that come with the kit. Lay everything out that you got and let us see. I’m pretty sure in your Instagram communication he though the long wires are missing as they are not pictured.

Here is a useful tip! There are arrows above the quote button for long threads you can use them to jump between 1 individuals post in this case Meso. So you can go to one of their post click those arrows and jump to the next time they post. Super helpful if you wanna catch up on a meso thread. Start at the beginning the skip to only his post! Makes it much more manageable. Granted you might miss good info from other members but it’s a fast way to get a good understand.

May not want to do this mod three days before vacation!!

    LoL

Received the puddles, laid everything out, to include some descent sound deadening material. Finished that part early am and took a break before puddles. Have the directions on tablet along with a couple of the you tube videos. Fairly straight forward, though as most know the panels and especially the door boot can be a little cumbersome. Everything snaps together so I hooked battery back up.

One light stays on no matter the dome light setting and the other works when door is opened and goes off immediately when door is closed instead of when dome fades. On remote open they do not come on, though front and rear markers do as usual.

I rechecked plugs etc and all snug and tight. Took and switched the power runs on the pillar y connector to see if a possible fault there. This indeed causes the other side to stay on and the second light to act as first mentioned.

I tested one end of the Y connector on the pillar after unplugging both power runs to the two mirrors.
That caused the dome light to go dark and obviously blew a fuse.

The frustrating part is I may have to button entire thing up just to try this again unless some ideas on troubleshooting this evening. One guess is the Y connector at the driver side pillar is bad, which means throwing it back together again anyway. Oh, and no other power anomalies, checked all the controls etc, to include temporary connection of door controls.

Sure its a relatively simple fix.

I’m doing speakers at the same time as well. I’m going with Kicker 46CSC6934‘s up front and Kicker 46CSC674‘s in the back. I decided to stick with Kicker, as I’ve already got the Kicker Subaru tweeters in the dash.

Love it when people find out about that. I tell as many people as I can about that.

Dude lay everything out on a table. You should be able to plug everything together other than the big white T connector.

I think he's talking about the kick panels. Probably pulled some wires out while running the wire through the grommet

Yep, I'm gonna try and get and early start on my install in the morning. I figure I will find out fairly quick what's what. I have faith that everything is OK though. I've watched the install video 5 times and went through the Installation Guide on the Meso site a couple of times.
