If I can get this on sale or with a rebate...I'm going to use it. Only a couple of bucks more though if not.

It's got a slightly higher viscosity than M1 with a little more robust additive pack.

Not totally stock, but it’s got a total of 4 mods (6 if you count map lights and floor mats).

I read the description on the Mobil 1 website. It claims 10% more additives. I'll try it out as well if I see it at wally world.

It's going to be a while though. Now that the tacoma is no longer daily driven, it only gets a couple oil changes per year.

I hear that. I lived in New Mexico for a bit and now that I'm back in Florida, I miss that a ton.

I've been using synthetic of various brands since I got mine, might be different for 2nd gen, I'm not sure. But I don't see how it could be bad.

I use either an M1 or Fram Ultra filter....whichever one is in stock or on sale. Both are excellent filters. The Ultra is about as good as it gets. Check out BITOG. It's a favorite over there.

GTMO doesn't have a 5w30 synthetic offering that I'm aware of...only conventional. Hence the conventional recommendation. In fact, if you look at the chart, you'll notice that same recommendation on all vehicles that were spec'd for 5w30.

That said....a conventional will be fine. Modern oils are really good

Agreed. Toyota does a pretty good job with the 16" in general. I dig the TRD 'beadlock" rims as well. I'm ok riding on the OR rims for a while. When I had my '11 TRD Sport, I was looking to lose the 17" ASAP. I like not feeling that way this time around. Your original post shows those alloys...did I miss a shot of your Sport with the 4R rims?
