Update saturday. Im home, not walking but im home. I have a walker and can go from the couch to the kitchen and to the bathroom before I get too tired. Ive been doing leg exercises with some stretch bands. I really want to get back down into my basement so I can do some work on either my fish tanks or computers to keep my self occupied.

Here are the videos from the whole thing
NSFW! The file names are time stamps, A = front camera B = rear camera.
I would recommend not listening to the sound, but if you want to hear my cries for help thats up to you. After you get past the first 2 videos, the sound is not as terrible to listen to when the girls start helping me out. They were amazing with what they did.

Update friday 30th. Im going fucking nuts in here, Its been only 9 days, but Im not allowed to do anything other than lay in bed. Ive told them I want to leave, im not getting better sitting in bed 23 hours a day. I get some therapy each day, but not much over 30 minutes. The rest of the time is spent in bed... I cant leave, I cant get out, I have to call a nurse to pee. Ive been in here for 9 days, stable everything for the last 6 days, yet im stuck because they wont do anything. I was told I was going to a therapy house, but that was several days ago. Ive got a call into the doc and the social worker to get me out of here, havent heard from either of them in several hours.

Update thursday 29th. Had more therapy today, got my ass to move around the floor im on. There are alot of young attractive nurses here..... Not sure I want to leave just yet. I think they are shipping me out to my next location tomorrow where I should be spending a little while longer.

Edit, Here is a update for you guys (wed aug 28), Im still laying in the hospital bed, I have regained most of my hands, they are weak, but they work. Legs are getting stronger each day. Today with the help of a nurse and a door knob I made it to the bathroom to poop! I will be going to a specialist soon, hoping to be out of there asap.

As for a diagnosis, we dont know anymore, doctors know it was a virus that decided to wrecking ball my spine, but not much past that.

    ORIGINAL POST +++++++++++

I'm laying in the hospital bed right, iv flowing, legs non responsive. I'll try to tell the tale best I can.

Wednesday morning I woke up and went to work. I had a head ache and neck pain but didn't think much of it as it's been there a few weeks.
Sat at my desk for a bit, shivering, like him hypothermic. I went to my truck to warm up, felt fine. Started feeling bad again, decided to grab my laptop and head home to work from there till I felt better.
The further I drove the more I was shaking, my hands started to cramp up so I grabbed my phone to tell my wife I was going straight to the ER.... My hands locked up, my arms locked up, my legs locked up. The only thing I could move was my torso and head.
I realized I was in deep shit. I can't use my phone because I have no hands, I can't keep driving because I'm going to black out soon.
I got my truck stopped on a 4 Lane highway during rush hour, I tried to make me people notice I needed help. All I could do was bang my head on the side, hang my head out the window and make feeble honks by swinging my non functional arms at the horn (my father says the steering wheel was covered with skin from my hitting it) People kept going around me. Finally 2 girls pulled over, one called police, the other asked if I was ok, all I could do was shake.
The paramedics showed up, about 5 minutes after getting to the ER my air way became completely blocked and everything went black. I awoke to a vacuum being shoved down my throat. I've been in and out since 3pm on Weds.

If those 2 girls had not stopped, I would of died in my truck surrounded by people who would rather get home faster than check on the person visably struggling.

When I finally get released (I'm here for a minimum of 4 more days) I have dash cam video of the medical response. I may have to mute volume so you don't have to listen to me struggling.

If you see someone on the side of the road, check on them, I know I will be pulling over for every single car I see from now on.

So glad someone stopped to help. What a terrifying experience. Any idea on what caused it (if you don't mind sharing)?

Glad you seem to be doing better!

Sorry for your troubles.... hope you have a speed recovery and they figure this shit out.
I am not one that goes around if I see strange behavior. I have a few saves under my belt as I will be the first one to block all 4 lanes until you are safe.

Wow, very touching story. I’m sorry this happened to you and very glad to hear you are on the road to recovery. Hang in there, stay focused on full recovery and let your body do the rest.

Right now they are not sure, I have abnormal spinal tap leading them to a combo of meningitis and some neurological issue.

All is not better, but at least I'm being helped.
I have the girls phone number, when I get released I need to give them a big hug.

Wow. That is one hell of an experience. Glad someone stopped to help, and yes, people should always stop to help each other. If something seems out of the ordinary, it probably is! Hope you have a speedy recovery.
