33" nitto terra grapplers, 3" readylift, 17" ultra goliath wheels, TRD seat covers, Huskey floor matts, Flowmaster 40 series muffler, OBX fatboy shift knob, K&N high-flow cleanable airfilter, Pioneer AVH-P4200DVD, Lamin-X yellow fog light covers, Ultragauge
I am looking to upgrade all 4 door speakers with new 6.5's and then put 2 10" subs behind the back seat in my 2007 DC. I also need an amp for my speakers and then the subs. I have no experience with Pioneer speakers or subs or amps but with that 30% off code I'm strongly considering buying some gear. Does anyone have any Pioneer stuff (other than HU, I already have a AVH 4200DVD and love it to death!) if so, do you like or why or why not?
If you aren't a fan of Pioneer gear then what brands are some of yours favorites?
    Thank you!!

I've heard great things about Infinity component speakers. Either the reference line or the kappa line are great. (I have no personal experience with them though).

How much did that all cost you?

My friend has some infinity speakers and they sound great, spendy as hell though! I also know another guy who had 2 10" infinity subs and the foam ring cracked after about 2 months.... I"ll check them all out though! Thanks!

The only portion of it I have in is the 4200DVD head unit by Pioneer, and that was $450 with full install. Not sure on how much the rest of this system will be. My system in my old 93' 4runner was $921 with full install for Alpine headunit, JL 2channel 500 Watt subwoofer amp, 2 6.5" JBL door speakers, 2 4" JBL rear speakers, 2 JL TMA 12" subs, and then wiring. (I already had the dual 12" box and an 800 watt amp so that saved me some money)

I have 2 pioneer champion series 10's and they are great. Sound a hell of a lot better than the jl's i had before. I am currently looking for a pioneer 2 and 4 channel amp just don't have the funds right now.

I have read some reviews about some pioneer subs breaking after just a short while (one guy had them die on him after 30 days.) How long have you had yours?

x3! i'm no audiophile but i just hooked up my pioneer mono amp... powering a 12" infinity kappa sub. it sounds great... not as loud as my solobaric but much cleaner.

also installed infinity reference components up front... sounds crispy!

Have you had any issues with your amp? I'm not looking to go competition style with how much bass I have, just want some clean, fairly loud, bass with some speakers that can be clearly heard over the "boom". Are those kappa's shallow mount and do they come in 10s?

Never heard that before. I have had mine for probably 4 months now without any problem whatsoever. I have a sony 1200 watt 2 channel running them. They are in seperate slot port boxes and hit like a mofo!!!!

That's what I'm looking for! Are yours shallow mounts behind the back seats or what? I'm trying to decide on a box design.. do you think the ports make them THAT much louder? And are you happy you went with seperate boxes instead of a single dual?
I know JL makes a stealth box that fits behind the seats, comes with 2 10's. but $700 seems wayyyy steep, I also want to try something other than JL cause i had them in my old vehicle.

no issues with the amp. i actually need to turn it down now that i've figured out all of my system wiring issues.

    i have a kappa 124.7. http://www.crutchfield.com/S-yAEkD4WRneU/p_108K1247W/Infinity-Kappa-124-7w.html

it sounds great... think i might go down to a 10" when i find the time and money. here's a link to the 10: http://www.crutchfield.com/p_108K1047W/Infinity-Kappa-104-7w.html?tp=111&tab=features_and_specs

what's considered shallow mount? the 12 has a top mount of 5-1/16.

also my reference 6010cs are plenty loud over my sub.
